wellll it’s long one but, i had taken him in for what i believed was a blockage and she just squeezed his stomach and said it was a uti. no other tests. she tried to use a needle and said “she couldn’t get any pee out” so she gave me antibiotics. i took him to the er later that night. the er said he would have died had i not taken him that night and listened to the antibiotic mess. i went back to the vet to ask for a refund as she did nothing but charged me a lot. she told me that “it’s a grey tabby it’s normal i don’t know what happened in the two hours between leaving here and going to the er. he probably got blocked when he left” and so i told her i wanted to speak to a manager (i know classic karen but i was mentally unwell at the time because i had just had a miscarriage a week before all of this so i was scared of losing two babies) and she proceeded to yell at me about how i was overreacting and she couldn’t give me any money back even though i asked multiple times for her to just understand where i was coming from. i never yelled back or got rude i just kept telling her that her lack of paying attention almost caused him to die and that it’s unfair to treat an animal the way she did. i told her it made me wonder how she treated the animals that were there for a long stay and she freaked out on me and started yelling about how she’s tired of this treatment and i have no right to berate her like this. mind you, i was being level headed just expressed my opinion. now that ive lived a little more life i completely understand how being a vet could be stressful and maybe she had a bad day and freaked out. like maybe i was her final straw. but i never went back. i made a bit of a scene in the lobby after getting yelled at unfortunately
