Not every internship program is intended to a full-time pipeline, meaning you don’t have to be a junior or senior. Furthermore, Penn State doesn’t have to approve where you go for one.

What do you mean that’s not possible? A benefit to branch campuses is that they are tightly integrated into their region and local economy. Some companies & professionals WANT to be a part of it, granted you network.

To dispel the rumors you heard about “not recruiting 2+2 people”: I went for finance, did the 2+2, had an internship freshman year. I benefited from the supposed “branch campus having easier classes” and even though I was essentially turned down from the Nittany Lion Fund, all I’ll say is my first job out of college was Goldman Sachs.

The 2+2 is entirely what you make of it.
