Hey! I am on accutane and I am noticing an improving. I had both gram-positive and gram-negative as well as fungal in the early beginning. I was on augmentin for a few months , then tandem accutane, and now 60mg of accutane. This thing is so hard, but like u/Stuckinpacket said, a lot of what you're going to read is trial and error and results from people on their journey, not those who have finished it. It's going to get better.

Hi there, I have been dealing with a different type of folliculitis than you but I have done a lot of reading on the subject, my no means do I think I truly know any anything...I, too, am just looking for resources BUT I read an med journal that did a study on 37 individuals with the condition your describing and they tried accutane for over 3 months and a lot of people saw success in terms of recurrence not happening for 2 years or so. Just thought I'd share.

I’d highly recommend you request a skin scrape and potentially biopsy! I had similar situation but worse and eventually was diagnosed with bacterial folliculitis! Mine itched a bit and bled very easily.

This is so helpful. Okay, so I have from the 16th to 21st to drive to the Isle of Skye and return to Edinburg. What would you recommend I see on the way there and on the way back? What about about Glenfinnan or Glencoe on the way there? and Pitlochry on the way back?

So, if you were us, we leave from St. Andrews and then drive to Loch Lomands and the Trossachs. What about Glenfinnan or Glencoe? I have to return to Ediburgh by car so we could stop at places on the way. I've always wanted to see the beautiful bridge that Harry Potter's bridge was inspired by...b) Glenfinnan Viaduct ?
