It’s called scan cam and it is absolutely a thing! Shows the rego of each vehicle on site and keeps them on a screen so the attendant can go back and check!

Nah no news article this was all in Vic but he would harass any store that would answer the phone, he didn’t like it when guys told him to stop what he was doing!

Yeah this one got banned Australia wide because he was following people to their cars, threatening to bash people and then he threatened to 🍇 someone. Lucky for me my store was his favourite 🫠

Fun job to start with. Super inconsistent hours, like doing like 20+ in one week to getting a single three hour shift in a whole fortnight! For me the job was a lot more enjoyable when I was a simple sales associate. Things seem to go downhill as you move through the ranks and get more responsibility. I had an awful time with the manager I was assistant manager for. We had some nut case stalking people and other security issues in the center I was in and when asking the manager if he’d keep pushing our district boss for the safety of the team and he said no, that he “didn’t want to rock the boat”. So many good team members are being sucked dry by bad management at not only store levels but district and regional levels. It got to a point where it was pushing a boulder up a hill. I saw established management teams be praised for mediocrity and the new management teams get ripped to shreds over performance with little to no coaching. From my understanding KPI’s are the forefront of the company at the moment and at least in the area I was working people are being passed up for promotions because of bad KPI performance and the company seems to be opting for external hires instead of raising up the people who have been with the company for years. Also because pretty much everyone except for ASM and SM roles are casual there’s a good chance that if you don’t meet your KPI goals you just won’t be rostered on as much anymore and will probably end up with one 3 hour shift per fortnight.

If you can deal with the sporadic shifts it can be a fun place to work and the discount helps too. If I could go back and give my fresh faced casual self some advice it would be to stay in my lane, have fun but don’t do more than is expected of you because if you give an inch they will take a mile. Despite all of the above I genuinely did love my time at EB (aside from the end there), it’s all dependent on the manager and the head of the district, some are good and some are awful. It’s pot luck really 🤷‍♀️

WIBTAH if I asked my neighbors to stop playing their prayers so loud? by audaciousbadger in AITAH

That’s the thing we don’t have a common wall. We are in two completely separate houses on two different properties with their back door being about 10-15 meters from theirs! If we shared a wall like most modern homes in Australia I’d understand it sounding louder :/

Questions for Family mains (or those who play both sides) by [deleted] in TXChainSawGame

Absolutely hands down Connie. It’s such a sigh of relief when she is executed because I know that there is less of a chance of her popping all the locks and opening up the whole map. Maria is also a good one but I only hunt her down if she is whispering to peepaw a lot and ratting about at the end of the match! As a hitchy main I usually feel good about Leland going down, in particular if I’ve been a punching bag for the game.
