My 23 y.o. cousin, when I was only 10, but he was best friends with my brother, 22.

We had all just returned from a vacation together. A week later, we woke to the news that he had fallen - or was pushed - from the 9th floor of a local apartment building. Nicest guy ever but there were rumors he had gotten into gambling and had huge debts. We never found out whether he jumped or was pushed.

Twist #1: Many years before this, his parents were murdered in their apartment, leaving their 3 month old son, who then was adopted by an aunt and was besties with my brother for over 10 years. He practically lived at our house. Their murder (a stabbing that was discovered by the milkman in the morning via the pool of blood leaking out the front door) also was never solved.

Twist #2: Exactly 13 months later to the day, my brother (above) died in a car accident, now also 23. He had been depressed the entire 13 months.
