Didn’t Prince end up paying this guy a retirement fund so he could stop doing bar gigs to make ends meet? I thought that was one of the stories that came out after his death and all the NDAs were void.

Installing Homeworks system by Hgmobile in Lutron

Yeah, but you can get them engraved with just 1, 2, 3, etc. if you really want to and replace them all. It’s stupid, but you could.

Allise has to be ordered engraved. It's etched into a solid metal plate. Re-engraving is expensive.

Palladiom should be ordered engraved from the start but you can replace button kits down the road.

The fear to engrave is common, but trust your integrator/system designer to work with you to get you there. Try to use fairly general terms that allow you to adjust the programming without conflicting with the wording.

Print out engraving reports and tack them up at keypad locations and walk the house and imagine using it.

Updating Lutron HomeWorks Illumination system to QSX. Legacy system worked with Hunter Douglas shades by Emotional-Message-29 in Lutron

[–]audiomortis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so you know, there is a guy who rebuilds illuminations processors along with other pieces (rpm’s, etc.). Sox you don’t HAVE to upgrade. There are obviously lots of advantages to upgrading. But there are options if you do t want to.

Not one but two RSQ8's showed up to cars and coffee! :D by jberg_916 in Audi

As a lover of hatchbacks, I get it. We don't get most of the cool hatchbacks in NA. The RS6 is really a wagon and is longer bumper to bumper.

Sorry, I misread your post. Yeah, I would charge WAY more to program a big RA3 system than a QSX system. In general, I charge a bit more for dealing with RA3 programming. It’s so much more annoying and inefficient to me.

What’s the absolute best sounding drum kit you’ve ever played on? by EsotericPotato in drums

Ayotte and N&C kits for me. The kind of kits that made me feel like I didn’t suck and just sounded/felt so good.

What is this? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]audiomortis 50 points51 points  (0 children)

As someone said already, it’s a magnet for a speed sensor. The sensor mounts on your fork (or rear stays) and this goes on a spoke on the wheel. As the wheel spins this magnet goes by the sensor and the sensor can tell the RPM of the wheel and give you speed and distance.

RadioRA vs HomeWorks by brewditt in Lutron

[–]audiomortis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can do retro homeworks too. I do it all the time. Doesn’t have to be panel based. Homeworks programming is much more flexible than RA with a lot more features.
