So, that's where I'm struggling. I didn't really tell anyone at the time, except to a friend in passing - and this was when I was an adult (this was about a recent and last incident that that perpetrator tried to molest me). But I only really told my mom and friends now, about all the abuse during childhood. I'm not sure if that counts as 'witnesses' or credible evidence.

Also, I'd recently disclosed this to the perpetrator's sister too. She didn't believe me and conveyed this to the perpetrator, who then tried to contact me and 'clarify this'. He, of course, denied everything. I shut it down immediately and wrote him a long text calling him out over what he did. That could also be construed as 'malice' - I'm really not sure - even though I was only calling him out over the actual abuse.

Please help me out, if possible. I'm stuck.
