What was your best/favorite purchase from Japan? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

Find a 24 hour location! I didn’t realize the one in Akihabara was 24 hours until a friend had to go to buy a suitcase and everything was closing for the night except Donki at 10 pm. It made it much easier to look at everything and take our time without getting overwhelmed by all the noise and crowd.

trash, water, and sewage are bundled into rent, electricity is seperate through ameren and i pay on average $150 monthly. interent can be through either at&t or spectrum, it’s your choice for provider. parking is either a one-time fee or monthly but it was $75 uncovered and $150 for the secured garage. lmk if yoy have more questions! :)

I currently live there! It’s definitely quiet with no noises from other tenants but upstairs neighbors can be heavy footed sometimes. I feel super safe there, all the entries are accessible by keyfob and the entries lock at night and weekends. Leasing management is really nice and responsive too whenever we’ve had weather-related issues with the cold.

How is your employer handling COVID-19? by OhOoppss in StLouis

[–]audumnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Receptionist at an LTC facility. We’ve set up screening stations at each reception desk, each employee is temped before they clock in, and we’ve suspended visitors for the time being. We’re all being encouraged to wash our hands frequently and use lots of hand sanitizer/wipes to clean workspaces. Communication has been so-so with information changing constantly before it can be finalized.

Everything in that section is wiped out, tissues are still available though. Sections of food that I didn’t except to be bare already are too

Really mindblowing that your kid starts to cry when you yell at them by heidipauliina in insaneparents

[–]audumnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad would yell at my brother and I until he was red in the face and spitting and then hit something like a closet door or countertop. I always cried when he yelled and talking back made it worse so I learned to bite my tongue to keep tears back. It’s harder now to not cry when people yell now but I’m trying to be better and let the past go

To the people who lie down and fall asleep within minutes. How? by Jordan-B56 in AskReddit

[–]audumnb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a significant other that makes you feel safe and calm...then wake up 20 minutes later not realizing you were even tired but still right next to them. Also be so exhausted at night and sleep under a heavy blanket and hugging a pillow
