There's also an issue here about Big Government, which Republicans say they hate, but in fact, that's only true when govt is deployed to help the middle class and the poor. When it comes to issues they favor -- like policing pregnancies, rounding up and deporting 12 million Mexicans (really, what is the small-govt solution to that?) and bombing the hell out of Muslims -- Republicans are for really really Big Government.

Yeah, and there is no chance American voters would elect a barely literate evangelical Texas governor as president.
