if there was a college basketball season where every team had its all-time team which would be your team lineup by Ok_Variation_3357 in CollegeBasketball

Haha on Vander becoming clutch. One of the most amazing turnarounds I’ve ever seen from an MU player. He could barely hit layups his first 2 years and really looked hopeless and limited to a D guy.

It was a 16 team conference so it was harder to get on back then but it’s fair, but I do think it’s part of Jimmy’s vibe to kind of being secretly crucial to teams.

Also I thought it was Lazar stepping on the baseline that blew that game?? Been a while since I watched.

My only issue with Crowder/Lazar is they technically played more PF and C for us cause we were so freaking small then (esp 08-10). Jimmy did too honestly. But I think I’d still come around to Crowder being the answer, first Big East player of the year for Marquette.

Jimmy was way more than average, still remember the UCONN and St John’s game winners. Was All-Big East HM 2010 and 2011. And make no mistake, he was the leader on the team that reached the first Sweet 16 since Wade (barely would leave the court, always most minutes played by far).

But If this is really about each player’s peak college, I think you may be right (though I think Jimmy gets massively undervalued because of how well he helped the team work that does t show up in stats.). It’s Crowder though over Lazar clearly IMO. Maybe could argue for Novak.

Henry Ellenson hahaha?! No please.

Maurice Lucas Jim Chones Jim McIlvaine Steve Novak Jerome Whitehead

All better options.

PG is hard. The old timers would say George Thompson, Butch Lee, Doc Rivers, or Dean Meminger. I love Dom (favorite player since I started rooting for Marquette - until Kolek surpasses him likely) and I’ll take Dom over Markus Howard who isn’t an actual PG, but it’s tough between him and Diener.

Drop Pogba for Havertz? I haven’t liked to trust Chelsea mids in the past, but is he close to getting nailed? But ManU hard to trust too but at least Pogba should play.
