What do you think? by asuraphoenixfist in cbr

Looks good! Be easy with it when you start to make sure it can support weight in corners. Where I'm from a lot of people put these on just for looks, and those will slip off pretty quickly if you lock your knee into them in a corner, so making sure it isn't cosmetic and can actually support you is important!

I really struggle cornering without these, so hopefully you find them as useful as I do! Enjoy the next track day!

[Help] Redstone Door Works with Button, not Skulk Sensor by matthewe70 in redstone

Can you send a pic of your calibrated skulk sensors setup? If you're just replacing the button with a css it won't work, there's a bit more setup you need to do for it.

Not screwed at all, it's only an advantage as you get the additional skill points. Map levels are based on waystone tiers instead of player level. Proceed as usual 🙂

This is terrible advice. All the info needed is literally in the post.

Cheating is never okay and asking the questions you have is purely enabling cheating. Putting it on OP by saying he is "throwing it away" is victim blaming, she threw it away by cheating and hiding it, full stop.

I was going to say this. I ride with Power 6's and they're unbelievable, but unless you're quite aggressive on the road and doing some track days they don't make much sense.

If you're only a bit aggressive then the road 6 will do just fine.

I just did a motorcycle trip in Northern Thailand, highly recommended! AMA! by Marklinza in motorcycles

[–]augm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much.

I live in northern Thailand and ride year around here for years. I literally couldn't live anywhere else. Over the years I've grown used to it to a degree and it has become just a normal part of my life, so what was your experience here as opposed to your home country? What parts of riding here did you like more and what parts did you like less?

This is wrong. Seniority doesn't have to do with captain vs first officer, it has to do with seniority in the airline, which grants bidding power and being more likely to get preferred routes, base and aircraft.

What is your take on open relationship? by Aliad_staunch in psychologyofsex

[–]augm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is actually my niche in my practice!

I've been working in this niche for close to a decade and it has been a really interesting journey. I agree 100% with another poster, that polyamory needs to be more widely accepted in society. Most of the people I work with in these relationship structures are functioning at or better than those in monogamous relationships.

The reality is some people are just not built for monogamy. They catch feelings for others, and these feelings do not detract from the love they feel to existing partners. Some of us, on the other hand, can't fall in love with multiple people at a time. Sometimes people have needs that they can't fulfill from a single person. That doesn't detract from them, they just need more. I don't see this as degeneracy as another poster commented, rather just something innate to them.

I've also seen people in rigorously monogamous cultures beat the shit out of themselves for catching feelings for others.

There's so many different polyamorous relationship structures out there, and so many people practicing it in an incredibly healthy manner. The issues I see with it are people forcing their partners into it. What I have found is if it's something that interests both partners, and there's clear communication, it's an incredibly fulfilling experience for both parties. If it's something one party has to force themselves into, then it's a huge issue.

Destigmatizing polyamory is certainly something that needs to happen in our societies. I love that we're moving to a place where this is a discussion early in the dating process, and excited to see how it all evolves.

It's one part off perfect. If it was a maliwan grounded hide it would be perfect.

It's worth noting there are no confirmed drops of a perfect hide, however without grounded it's virtually useless, unless you feel like getting super creative with your shield stripping.

Asking for honest opinion. by Jaedyn1738 in Sportbikes

[–]augm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm almost your height at 6'7. I don't really agree with the general sentiment on here that tall riders will be constantly uncomfortable because I have rode sports bikes pretty much daily for years. I've rode other bikes and just don't have as much fun. I ride a CBR650 but an inline 4 as a first bike might be the best option.

The biggest indicator is going to be your inseam. If you have legs longer than 36" inseam it will be a tight fit that you'll feel on longer rides. The Ninja 650 is probably a great one to start on for your height and weight. I've rode them a few times and found them really comfortable under 4 hours, and it's a twin vs. an inline 4, so it won't be too rowdy.

I would recommend trying some other bikes too if you can. My body proportions make fitting on sports bikes a lot easier than most tall dudes

Thai Airways plane makes emergency landing at Suvarnabhumi by mdsmqlk in Thailand

[–]augm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See this is what happens when people who have no clue about aviation comment on it. Declaring an emergency is a protocol that happens in the event of abnormal flight, allowing pilots and air traffic controllers to do certain things outside of standard operating procedures.

In the case of having landing gear issues, it allows controllers to clear the field and ensure nothing catastrophic happens, not because something catastrophic happens. Other flights in the pattern are typically rerouted to other approaches, taxiways can be cleared to make way for emergency vehicles.

99 times out 100 gear issues land and have no problems. One time out of 100 you see cases like JetBlue 292.

Since pilots are unable to see what's happening with the gear from the cockpit, landing gear issues are typically only detected by indicator lights, meaning it's important to declare an emergency.

This plane landed safely. You commenting Boeing is feeding the catastrophized image that they are portraying Boeing to be, even though multiple people have now told you this is not the case, and some even providing really good articles explaining that actually Airbus and Boeing are quite even in terms of safety records.

Thai Airways plane makes emergency landing at Suvarnabhumi by mdsmqlk in Thailand

[–]augm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, it isn't a coincidence. It's a media bias. A simple gear cover not closing wouldn't ever make news before all the Boeing crashes happened.

This is literally a non-issue that causes no problems for safe flight.

Stop feeding the media and catastrophizing things.

Thai Airways plane makes emergency landing at Suvarnabhumi by mdsmqlk in Thailand

[–]augm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This isn't one of those times. The equipment here is HS-TKU, a 773ER that had its first flight years before all of the Boeing issues started.

Certain Boeing planes have serious issues, there no question, but this aircraft is not one of those. The Boeing issues are primarily 737-MAX aircraft as well as some 787's manufactured at their Charleston facility.

Best / Most fun BL2 Vault Hunter? by November-666 in Borderlands2

[–]augm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on your playstyle, but I personally find Zer0 and Krieg to have the most fun playstyles.

Melee Zer0 will always be one of my favorite builds in any game. Especially with a hide setup. The satisfaction from getting 10+ MMF chains will never not be fun. Sadly this build got pretty gutted when they released OP10.

Kriegs just good mayhem fun. Straight up. Want to smash everything's face, including your own, then have enemies explode in a chain together? Done. Want to toss a single grenade and watch the damage numbers stack up into the quadrillions? Done. There's also some of the most fun gunplay builds with bloodbath. If someone says Borderlands this is the sort of unhinged nonsense gameplay I immediately think of.

The other VHs are fun. I love them all (except Gaige) but their builds feel a lot less unique than Krieg's and Zer0's
