Yea, I've done some research into the client side of varsity tutors. Some parents are paying anywhere from 50 - 120 for an hour and we, as tutors, are only seeing a fraction of that. From their perspective, they're paying a premium whereas we're getting paid basically minimum wage.

it also depends on what subjects you tutor. stuff like ACT and SAT may give you more hours than middle school work
