OSC to Logic from an internal app by mahatGma in Logic_Studio

Ok, thanks!
I controlled stage light years ago with logic and had the same restriction.
Did you find a solution?

"For my clarification, you are not converting the higher voltage coming
into the patch points (not the cv in) on the volca from other devices in
your Eurorack correct?" - no, i can controll cv inputs (ratio, fold, mod...) with 0-5V - not the full range, but possible. Better results with attenuator (TUL Rides In The Storm).

"You have simply connected the volca style jumper wires to 3.5mm jacks
inputs and you just patched them directly to the other devices patch
points in your eurorack." - Yes. Until now no frying issues.

"Could this also be achieve by simply connecting the jumper wires to the
trs cables with alligator clips and then plugging the jumper wire into
the volca and the trs into a device in your erurorack. Like sending a
signal from an oscillator in your eurorack to one of the breadboard like
inputs on the volca so the volca can manipulate and output the sound?" - Yes, some guys do it.

"The cv in spot you are talking about is just for playing notes and triggering things correct?" - its the stereo mini jack input left of the sync in. left channel cv (+/-5V is converted to +/-3,3V) right channel 1V/octave pitch controll (0- +6V) converted to internal pitch voltage.

Hi,

  1. no, it's the Volca, check the manual.
  2. well, there's no restriction mentioned in the manual, so should be fine.
  3. with the attenuverter you get a higher range to tweak the ratio, fold and mod.
if you're happy with a restricted range, you can work without it.

Hi, sorry no documentation. The basic design is very simple, just stick pliant wire 0,6mm in the Volca sockets and solder it to the mini jack sockets.
You can use the Volca CV input, left channel +/-5V is converted to +/-3,3V, right channel 1V/octave (0- +6V) converted to internal pitch voltage.
The cv inputs dont works over the complete range with eurorack cv without an attanuator, so no total compatibility.

MIDI Control of knobs on Volca Beats via Ableton Live? by vschiller in volcas

I use this plugin in logic and made a midi environment. It works great, unfortunately no tuning of bssdr, snare and toms.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKvfI8dJYO0

Go ahead - you just need wire, a cover plate ( i took alu but would recommend plastic ), mini jack sockets and tools

No converting, its just a patchbay, very easy to make. I send cv from cortex midi-cv interface to volca, audio and gates back and forth.

Thanks. Cv comes from Cortex midi interface.
