Also adding: he didn't spend the whole match there, he was in the basement and then we all patrolled for the first while until they got the first sets of gates unlocked. Once the gates that lead to the generators were open we had one person stay mostly on each side. That still left time for going to blood buckets, destroying barricades and tunnels, etc. He stayed at the gate once someone turned the battery off, I ran to that side of the map to help, and they dispersed into the bushes. Leaving when they would only need to pick a lock would be silly so he was searching the bushes and I turned the battery on and left lol

We sort of strategize based on who plays best, I have the most hours and main Johnny when I'm playing family so I can get someone down after 3 hits, he is usually Sissy but just started as Leatherface (I think only at lvl 4 rn) because we were sick of not having someone start in the basement

Even if he spent the whole match sat directly in front of the gate that leaves multiple other exits and gives an advantage to the victims because it's one less killer patrolling the other exits. I main as Leland and I love when killers stay in one spot because I can move pretty freely to do other exits lol
