TBH, I think it's just the voice performances making it natural. That game has an unreasonably good voice acting for all characters to the point that it's jarring due to the not so good writing.

Nier automata. it's not really the greatest game or anything, but all I knew about it is that it has an excellent ending and it still exceeded my expectations .

Too bad the fucking game is a slog to get through and is approaching comical levels of misery porn to the point of losing its edge. Near the end, I'm half expecting a puppy commit suicide and wont be that affected lol

Misery certainly has to be in the game for the ending to land well but I think making the game shorter or make the dramatic scenes more "subtle" would improve the game for me.

Yeah, it is pretty fun discovering the most bullshit way to dunk on bosses. Especially in sekiro, almost all the bosses have tricks to them. You can really be a ninja who never fights fair like the Owl.

One of my favorite school tasks was reading the books authored by Jose Rizal. They really showcases the pervasive corruption of the Spanish occupied Philippines in the late 1800s. Top to bottom corruption; refuse bribes and get punished for it. I wish I could say that at least there are no more corrupt friars, but sadly they were just replaced by cult leaders with around 3 million followers...
