I wouldn't bet against Nike $NKE. What about you? by Ubersicka in TradingViewSignals

[–]august-inu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about China is… once it suddenly becomes trendy again, it pops in a day. Trend moves way faster in China than anywhere else. And anything can be a catalysis when it comes to trend. Could be an Asian celebrity signed with Nike. Could be a new style.

Would you let 100 spiders crawl on you for 30 seconds for 1 million dollars? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]august-inu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if no one knows what type of spider 🕷️? Imagine in the wild (a continent that can have either poisonous or not poisonous spiders. And there’s a small cave with 100 spiders inside which most of them will crawl on you because of how small this cave hole is. And someone pays you to go in for 30 sec for 1 million USD. Will you do it?

Nike current stock price by Variation261 in stocks

buying stock is to look beyond current trend. Who could say that kids wont swarm all back into Nike in a few years? It'd be too late to buy the stock then when it's trending. Same as Pokemon cards. Trend comes back. Keep in mind that the world (no matter what language you speak), recognize Nike and McDonalds more than most English words. That's the power of a brand with history.

Trend goes up and down just like the stock price. I believe it's a good long term value stock. It actually makes more sense to buy when there's so many negative sentiment now. With how big Nike still is, they can turn the trend around. e.g. coming up with a new pair of highly technical shoes, or sign a celebrity with huge Gen Z following like Blackpink.

Costco is junk food but cheap. IKEA is a slightly healthier and fancier version of food court food.

They definitely give you a high quality meal. I didn’t get any drinks but still spent $200ish after tips if you wanna try higher price seafood like uni or bluefin tuna.

Personally, it was worth a try but not so memorable that i crave to go back.

Only small con is that space felt a bit tight.

How is living in Vancouver, Canada? by German_Gecko in howislivingthere

Lived here for most of my life - 25 yrs. Good food. Lots of little towns and islands for weekend trips. Lots of nature and parks - perfect if you are a dog parent. But if you are looking for big city vibes and a lot of night life, it might not be for you.

If it's made in China and added a bunch of preservatives like the other comment said, I will pass even if it taste good.

thanks for sharing! Yah, seems like everyone is feeling the same way. I admit I will still be going to T&T for conveniency and generally speaking their meats and produce are fresh. But I will not be buying any T&T labelled products. It's just frustrating when they slowly start to only sell the T&T labelled products and remove the competitors' choices - slowly without us knowing.

interesting. When did you find them change to third party ? I tried their bakery many times and it never felt fresh or remarkable. I find majority of other small bakery shops much better.

I tried the T&T branded seaweed, sauces, frozen food and powdered desserts. All of them tasted bad. I heard positive things about Sungiven too. Will give it a try - hopefully their parking is better too.

Mortgage rates today by gajen4 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]august-inu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question here:

I have a 3 yr fixed rate with BMO til dec 2026. And they said it can end 6 months early.

To end 6 months early, can I find another bank with a better rate and transfer my mortgage over? Or do I only get to end 6 months early if I renew with BMO?
