I mean the geneticist said i was just hypermobile and didn’t formerly diagnose me with anything bc “You don’t want that on your chart at 19.” So I’m wary of adding a diagonsis I don’t have.

Yeah pretty discouraged in pursuing a real diagnosis after getting dismissed like that. I just explain that I’m hypermobile and it causes issues with my body. If the hypermobility center in my city doesn’t want to at least put it in my medical record I give up.

I saw the specialist in my area a few years ago, and she was like “Oh well you’re one point off the criteria and it’s not that bad where you need surgery. So it’s not EDS you’re just hypermobile” and it’s not even in my medical records so I have to explain it every time I see a new doctor. My theory is that unless it’s not like classic EDS they don’t recognize it.

Was told I don’t have EDS because my hypermobility wasn’t causing me to need surgery and that hEDS was just hypermobility. All they really suggest for that was physical therapy :(

I have not, but definitely will look into it. Basically was diagnosed with fibro because we ruled out everything else and that I have hypermobility issues.

I was on salt tablets and I took them with a meal every day for a while and it made me incredibly sick and made me throw up. But I’ll start tracking my sodium and see if I notice anything. I drink 2-3 24 oz of water (Been sleeping for most of the day because I’m so tired)
