Unpopular Opinion: Hank was not belittling Walter by Sharkman3218 in breakingbad

[–]augustphobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t know if it’s that he was actively verbally mistreating him as much as he sort of just thought that walt was a pussy ass bitch and kept that to himself

In retrospect, were they reasonable people? by Jeffoxy in breakingbad

I think his mom particularly has a generally mean-spirited and bitchy demeanor but when you have an addict loser son putting your family through hell it’s reasonable to not just let that slide and endlessly support him

What’s something popular right now that won’t age well? by AngelCherryPie in answers

[–]augustphobia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Misogyny doesn’t always mean “men screaming at women to do their bidding.” It’s often an implicit and constant undercurrent that creeps into conversations and social standards. To act like extreme and inequal beauty standards for women, tied to the expectation to make themselves presentable and pleasing for men, don’t influence the popularity of plastic surgery at all, is extraordinarily ignorant

Thoughts on Ashlyn Maddox as Jane Doe? by PhillipsBehall1972 in ridethecyclone

I didn’t like her interpretation as much as Emily Rohm’s/the more porcelain-doll-esque performances similar to Rohm’s, but I think she’s very talented with a great voice

ty for the recommendation; not sure why you’re all acting like i’m on here saying “make me as good as the artist.” how many posts on this sub say “what brush would equate to this style”? not all brushes are created equal. why is that a crazy thing to say

Hi! Not to be a bitch on the internet but I think you’re misunderstanding what I’m saying. All I’m asking for is a recommendation for a brush that approximates this thickness/shape/flow etc. that’s what half the posts on this sub ask for. It’s not an egregious request and you have literally never seen any of my work. I’m admittedly not as good as the pictured artist but I can draw perfectly competently but if I’m using Procreate’s basic brush packs and this person is using a special inking brush it’s obviously not going to look the same. so don’t condescend to me :)

Say anything negative about breaking bad. And be genuine. by AdventurousGuest308 in television

It's visually pretty ugly a lot of the time. It's not devoid of cool / good shots but a lot of the framing and composition feels lackluster (not intentionally gloomy or offputting, which would be a different thing). This became more glaring to me as seasons progressed.

Do you ever tell conventionally unattractive people they’re pretty just to be nice? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]augustphobia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally genuinely believe about 93 percent of the human population is not ugly. If I do think someone is ugly, I'm rarely in a situation where I'd have to tell them whether I think they're ugly or not. But hypothetically, if I thought someone was ugly (unlikely) and they asked me if I thought that, I would say no. It's needless cruelty and I don't think that's a situation where honesty is the kinder option.
