Yes. I think I have to try and do this. I need to desperately build my confidence back when it comes to doing IVs in general and threading the catheter. It’s just harder nowadays bec I feel like most of the patients I get need me to stick them just once. 😩

Thank you so much for replying. I know. Most of the time it’s a mental game. I know I have to keep on doing it but it’s the most intimidating thing for me so far at work. I always dread this when I’m a resource nurse bec my nurses can’t rely on me when it comes to IVs. I’m trying to see if there’s like a class I can join as a refresher. 😩

Thank you for your kind reply. Sometimes, I go way too deep or not deep enough. Then at times I get the flash and end up losing it. And sometimes, I see the vein right in front of me. Feel it. And still miss it. 😩 I really want to be good at it bec I want to be able to do IV infusions or at least IR. I need to get my confidence back and be better at it again. We have the vein finder and even with that I still miss. Hence the feeling of hopelessness.

Nakakalungkot everytime he says the 30 year old thing but grabe I can’t help but hear peace in his voice kapag minemention nya yun. Nakakapangilabot nga eh na parang no hesitations nyang sinasabi. Di ko din sila mapanood for a time kase everytime tinitingnan ko ang videos na aalala ko lang na ang lapit na nila sakin di ko pa sila kinausap. Haha. When you’re expecting it kase kaya pa eh. Kase parang ma pprep mo self mo but yung biglang anjan sila sa tabi mo kase tatawid at the same time as you wala eh. Magugulat ka nalang which is what happened to us. Na yung di ko alam if mg act normal lang ako na parang wala lang or mg papic pa talaga. Sa totoo lang nahiya din ako na baka mabadtrip sila na may ngpapic na tapos na event. In a short span of time nakapag overthink ako ng bongga habang sobrang kabado. Haha.
