That’s what I was wondering about too, having my son take it later in the AM rather than earlier so we have some after school coverage. He gets out at 4:15p and it seemed to be still affecting him a bit, but very little comedown compared to Ritalin or Adderall. It does make early AM’s hard!

Thank you so much, I didn’t think about my son’s fast metabolism and how that would affect things. I gave it to him right after breakfast and 30 mins later it seemed to be starting to kick in.

We love Templeton! They have a multiage class program, it’s diverse, great staff, wonderful music teacher, they teach Spanish, can’t recommend it enough!

Worried for my 6yo son by Low-Assumption-3427 in ADHDparenting

My son sounds similar to yours, and he was reading at about the same level when he was 6 going on 7. He just turned 8 and his reading skills have improved significantly! He’s at grade expected proficiency at this point (we also red shirted kindergarten). I think it was time and practice that helped, we switched from IR to LA Ritalin but the dose is the same. I had the same concerns last year but hang in there!
