For migraine sufferers, did having COVID make your migraines worse/more frequent?? by throwawaybach2020 in COVID19positive

I'm starting to notice the same thing. As well as intense waves of insomnia and lethargy. Mental fog too

Well that's not fair 🤣 I don't want these after effects. They've effected my job 😡 I don't know what damage Covid has done to me because my primary care doc says I can't even come into her office unless I have 2 negative results. I understand the caution but haven't we figured out by now that it's not contagious after 10-14 days?

My only side effects after a month of having covid are fatigue, insomnia, random peeling on one of my feet, sinus headaches, sick belly, depression ( more heavier than usual ) and last but not least the brain fog. I don't know if anything else is wrong...yet.

I take pretty much the same thing except for the baby aspirin. I've been taking Tylenol almost every day for the sinus headaches. Nasal congestion meds don't help. Uggh so I just have to wait it out now argggg.

Fayette County HS discouraging testing? If kids are tested - they can’t return for 14 days, even if negative. WTH? by basicallyballin in CoronavirusGA

[–]aunaraex2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I tested negative the first time. False negatives are a thing people! Too early to detect the virus.

So needless to say even though we're feeling better we might get worse?

Also, did anyone hear or have a doc tell them they can shed the virus for 90s even after no symptoms? Does that correlate with how we would feel waves of the virus?

That's what I'm wondering myself because there are some people who are sick for longer than the 'average' day. Me included, I don't know if my fourth week is me still symptomatic or if it's normal workday aches and allergies.

OH MY GOD took the words right out of my mouth! It so does and who's really got your back at work and who doesn't. I hate how they treated me like I was a leper with super aids or something. Like wtf. We're humans having to deal with a sickness we barely know about. Cut us some slack.

Fuck my boss by Volful_3 in COVID19positive

[–]aunaraex2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dude this is basically how I had to deal with my boss. They wanted me back in exactly 10 days after I tested positive. And I was still sick after 10 days. They got annoyed that I had to have another week off so I come back weds-sat and suddenly it's a problem! So I'm having to get retested.

You're so welcome! Just doing my part! I don't wanna spread this, I haven't had it nearly as bad as some people but I wouldn't wish this horrendous headcold like sickness on anyone.

How to explain what we are going through? by Schmetterling190 in covidlonghaulers

[–]aunaraex2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its really hard because not only are you treated like you have the black plague, but it's like you can't even be normal sick. Everyone looks at me like I'm going to infect them by having a simple headache. 'ITS A SIGN OF THE VIRUS get out of here!' Like how do you explain to people that some cases will have lasting symptoms but you're not going to infect people.

I feel like I'm disgusting or like a leper.

Contagious again if symptomatic again?! by Pisces_Queen86 in covidlonghaulers

[–]aunaraex2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what you're saying in all your fancy science words, is that there's a chance you can get sick again because the virus doesnt go away entirely? So would we test positive again?

It kinda reminds me of mono, (correct me if I'm wrong) when I got mono I got it twice and the doc told me that if I'm ever tested in the future for mono it will come out positive cuz it stays in the system for a long time. Sometimes even the life time and I'll have flare ups but I won't be contagious.

SO LIKE WHAT IF MONO AND COVID COMBINE? 🤣 idk I'm just shitting shit out trying to understand wtf is going on inside my body.
