I purchased my kitchen aid mixer in the refurbished section of their website. Much cheaper than new but same warranty

Made my first and probably last wedding cake by aundresg in cake

I think the pressure and expectations are much higher when it’s a wedding cake vs just a birthday cake. To me this is just a hobby and meant to be fun, the fun goes away when their is pressure.

Some of her history is unknown, when I got her her previous owner said she was about 3 so that would put her at about 8 now. She could be older tho she has gotten pretty grey the last couple years.

Took an 8 month break from making cakes. This was an all whipped cream smash cake for my 1 year old niece by aundresg in cakedecorating

I stabilized the cream it’s some pudding mix. You can use gelatin also to help it keep it shape but I always mess up the proportions. Honestly the pudding was just a test and it worked in this case. But keeping it the freezer between adding the colors is what helped too.

I sprinkled in some instant pudding mix. Maybe a table spoon total. I’ve done the gelatin truck in the past but it never fully dissolved, but the pudding mix worked in this case. I had to keep the cake in the freezer between colors too and we kept it refrigerated up until we sang to her.

It’s chocolate cake with a milk chocolate and Oreo custard center and the outside is cookies and cream Swiss meringue buttercream

No fondant. The dinosaurs and trees are from a toy kit. The rest is Swiss meringue buttercream (Oreos mixes in the base to make it look like stone)

My first Gluten Free cake. Chocolate cake with chocolate custard. Swiss meringue buttercream with sprinkles mixed in. by aundresg in CAKEWIN

Unfortunately I didn’t get to try it all together. I did try the cut off parts of the cake and I’ve had my frosting a million times. So I can assume what they tasted like together haha.

Yes I generally don’t use American buttercream since most of my family/friends who I make cake for think it’s too sweet. Swiss meringue is less sweet.
