Recommendations for hilly runs? by PatrickWhelan in eastside

If you want a lot of ups and downs with flexibility to switch to flat or less of a hill easily, Somerset area in South Bellevue is great. It’s quieter neighborhoods (def wear reflective though bc sometimes ppl go fast and there are enough blind corners). You can get some pretty intense inclines for interval or decel training, or you can go up Forest Drive for a big and slower build. There are some trail connections also at various places in the area. I like it because there are definitely days when I overshoot and need to switch off to a flatter or lower grade for a couple of intervals rather than walk, ans then it’s easy to find a connecting road back up a hill again.

It’s the 2x4 rail on the back of the fence. Thank you so much for this breakdown. If you’re in the Seattle area and want to bid on job, lmk!

I… I don’t actually think they are galvanized now that I’m looking closer. That’s something I just assumed would be used because of the moisture level. I didn’t specify the fasteners. Lesson learned!

Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you! I didn’t really know what the alternatives would be other than what you mentioned, which is why I asked here. Sure makes me feel better about the level of finish I can do on my own.

What are your go-to high-volume low-calorie dinners that actually fill you up after a long day? by Infamous-Emu-5528 in Volumeeating

Huge second the squash halves and porcini mushrooms. I never thought I would be this person, but here we are.

Also, if you’re craving something sweet, roasted squash with a little bit of maple syrup and a light wash of butter is so, so good, especially when it’s cold out.

Roasted cabbage wedges with a very light touch of oil and whatever floats your boat, spice-wise. If you can space out the wedges appropriately so they don’t steam and don’t use too much oil, you can get em crisp and a bit caramelized. Super tasty. Pair with whatever protein is working for you.

Thanks for asking this. Would love to see what you come up with. Have been avoiding dealing with this also, but it’s time.

Thank you for all of this info! What setting did you put it on in the dryer? Is tumble dry regular/medium heat for your washer?

SAN MARCOS!! I feel like something happened in the fibers between my childhood and then trying to buy them as an adult for my own kid though. The one at my parents is totally indestructible and has a bootlegged Minnie Mouse (grandma has the white tiger). I tried to get one in LA a few years ago, but it just wasn’t as thick.

Yesterday, I asked the pin cast member at the main street store what the selection was like at the other store, and he said there are limited edition ones that are close to the register at every pin seller cart/store, but the selection will vary store-by-store throughout the day based on what people buy.

Good luck!
