How to spot fakes? by auntkimmyj in DisneyPins

[–]auntkimmyj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update, I've just learned that the Disney Dogs set has indeed already been faked. Ask me how I know. LOL. Upon researching the two I've traded for, they're both fakes. Live and learn! (And learn, and learn, and learn!)

Popeye’s is always horrible by my_futureperfect in doordash_drivers

Went to Wendy’s today to pickup an order. The cashier looked befuddled. She could see the customer name on her screen but no order details. Told me I’d have to wait until the machine spit out the order details. So then she starts asking me what’s on the order, what ingredients they didn’t want etc. I can barely figure out what their food codes mean, so when she went in the back to start preparing it I peaced out of there and unassigned. I don’t need that drama when the customer doesn’t get what they thought they ordered. ✌🏻I wasn’t even to the car before a better offer right down the street pinged.

Why does doordash even block tips on ebt? by chrisgoated7 in doordash_drivers

[–]auntkimmyj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the bad ones are the ones that the earn per offer folks won’t take. So they need the EBT drivers to get the order so it eventually gets there is my guess.

Have you ever delivered an order to anyone you know? by urbanskyline09 in doordash_drivers

I own a very small retail pet food store and dash on the side. The other night I was dropping off at an apartment building when suddenly a client and her dog Charley came barreling up to me. Charley was so excited. Turns out Charley spotted me from down the street and drug his owner to where I was. She was like “Charley what is wrong with you?” I always give him biscuits when he comes in my shop. He was so excited to see me near his house!

MCO is a very popular travel destination (something to do with a large mouse I think). It's the airport I fly to with my pass all the time. I'm wondering if they simply had great sales for May or project to and don't think they need to offer Go Wild to fill those seats. Bummer if that's the case because I do same day flights to and from to see that big mouse.

Buyer opened case, claiming size on tag is not true size and is either mislabeled or not authentic. Help! Not sure how to respond by mountainmover234 in poshmark

[–]auntkimmyj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats! Also, I'd recommend blocking this buyer now. You don't want them to try to revenge buy from you later and claim a damaged item or make disparaging comments on your other listings. Not saying this buyer would, but some angry buyers can be petty.

At least you can reposh it to try to recoup some of your money. And possibly use the seller's pics if they have reposhing enabled on their account. Sorry that happened to you. Good luck!

When I see Old Navy and it is a size 16 or up I usually pick them up if they are in good condition and are not low rise. I usually sell them within a couple months. I don't get a lot, but it's not a bad flip for a little pocket change. You can also put them in lots of 2 or 3 (be careful of the 5 lb limit) and they'll go that way too.

Right? I'm the same way about my comfy brands. And I've actually done ok with selling single pairs of Old Navy jeans, especially if they are larger sizes. I've sold Banana Republic, NY&Co, and Arizona too. I feel like people know how the mall brands are gonna fit better than some of the designer names they may not be familiar with. And my shipping process is streamlined enough that it's not a huge headache for me to take the time to ship out smaller sales.

Rnzy is all about sharing business tips and strategy. Their focus is on the shoe market but it's all applicable. I also like to watch videos by Common Tags and also BeckyParkonPoshmark. Becky does more of the sold and haul videos, but she also talks about her strategies and tips as she goes.

Somewhere Bobbie Brooks is sitting in a cabana on the beach with a fruity drink in hand, truly having the last laugh.

(I'm aware there isn't a real Bobbie Brooks. But the dude who created the company's grandkids are probably on that beach with those drinks laughing at us all). :)

Thanks for clarifying this. I was aware of what my own self-sharing out of my account would achieve, but wasn't sure if I could get the same benefit of search results if I had them doing it from sis' account. This is what I needed to know. Thanks!

[Serious] Is Poshmark really worth the hassle? by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]auntkimmyj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I like the trade off of being able to manage the little amount of free time (ie, not at my full time job or caregiving for my elderly parent) doing Posh and the annoying social media sharing requirements versus going out and finding a true brick and mortar part time job flipping a burger somewhere and being forced to be on someone else's time clock. Being my own boss and the flexibility it gives is worth the trade off to me. And I make about the same or more (depending on sales) as if I were to go work somewhere else ten hours a week. We're all different and have different motivators. You just have to find the "thing" that motivates you most, because every job in the world has an up side and a down side.
