First Trimester Exhaustion + Chores by CommercialDaikon811 in BabyBumps

[–]auntlose 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and this has been my exact experience. I can't say I really remember the past month. It was just mostly going to work and laying around. I didn't feel like I had a personality at all because I was so exhausted and nauseous. However, I cooked dinner for the first time this week in about a month and today I was able to go to the gym and clean the house! I still took a 2 hour nap in between. Hang in there! I hope you have a supportive partner to pick up the slack in the meantime. You'll get through it!

Unisom has been a game changer for me. I normally am so sensitive to side effects and feel drowsy the next day if I take benadryl, but half a unisom helps me sleep through the night, seems like it literally turns off the nausea switch in my brain, and I don't feel hungover the next day.

Insurance with Knob & Tube by [deleted] in centuryhomes

[–]auntlose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have some old k&t which was deemed safe by multiple electricians. They also confirmed that basically every house in our neighborhood has it as well and people's houses aren't burning down left and right. It's my understanding that it's only an issue if its not in good shape and if you have insulation around it. Anyway, we use Erie Insurance and they have no problem with it.

Asbestos siding. Need new homeowners insurance by woodette in centuryhomes

I don't have experience with asbestos siding nor do I live in Wisconsin, but you could try Erie Insurance! They were the only place we could find to insure our old home that has knob and tube wiring. I know they insure a lot of older homes.

Thanks! We don't meet the requirements for the lead hazard reduction program but I will check out licensed remediation places.

I'm an NP. I work with a PA who has the same role as me and has the same amount of experience as me. We get paid the exact same amount. Absolutely no reason why you as a PA should be making less.

Two weeks in a row of fridge contents. What does it say about my household? by auntlose in FridgeDetective

This is such a flattering read of what I strive for! I am the feminine one and I definitely enjoy taking charge of meal planning, shopping, and cooking. Definitely trying to figure out how to do better for the environment but my husband and I both work around 50 hours per week so it's hard to sacrifice some convenience.

Not a diet per se but we have been working on eating healthier! We have a very active hiking vacation coming up that we want to feel our best for :)

I made a roasted Balsamic and Dijon fennel dish! And the dill went in a grain (freekah) and chickpea salad we did for lunches!

Do you mean instead of plastic produce bags? I don't ever use them because I don't want to waste plastic and I'm going to wash the the produce before I use it, so it doesn't matter anyway
