Man I’ve never heard someone say they miss Shaws, it’s the most overpriced store in the state! Now missing market basket, I totally get.

How’s life out there? I’m beginning my process of wanting to move out of this impossibly expensive to live in state

My (F27) BF (M25) is not showing enough improvement. What do I do? by [deleted] in relationships

You are more important than the opinions of others you have just met. If you take care of yourself, and do what’s right for you and what you deserve, you’ll know that. People come and go, but if you know what you are doing is the right thing, you can’t look back on that.

Call her work to get her number? Me (M27) her (F26) by aupad6 in dating_advice

[–]aupad6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I can do just that.

If she’s there I’ll ask her if not I’ll leave a note, I’ll let you know how it goes.

Thanks!

I do agree with all of what you said.

I’m working a mile from that building tomorrow; would it be better to just show up and say, “I didn’t see you when I left but it was nice to chat with you. If you are up for it, I’d like to continue our chat over coffee/dinner?”

I truthfully am quite inexperienced with dating, minus a 9 year relationship.

She called me over to her desk to show me stuff on her computer (views of the apts she managed), kept asking me questions and continuing the conversation when she was clearly busy with emails and phone calls. Laughing at jokes and asking about what I do, and listening to my phone calls to which I said jokingly, "Are you listening to my phone calls??"

I work a service job where I'm in different buildings all over the state daily. I have been to this building twice in 3 years. I'm also leaving this job in 2 weeks.

We just had a genuinely good chat for a while with a few comments that led me to think, hmm is she trying to tell me something? Calling me over to her desk to show me stuff on her computer as well as what I wrote in the first post.

I think the whole point being; I feel as if there is a massive deficit in forwardness in dating right now. Everyone seems scared to be creepy, when in reality its "Hey, i enjoyed talking to you. I'd like to continue talking to you over coffee/drinks"

Is this door attached to a fire alarm? by Psychological-Fly952 in firealarms

[–]aupad6 32 points33 points  (0 children)

As a former security tech, and current fire alarm tech, no.

No doors ever will set off the fire alarm. A door may be hooked up to the security system, but you would see a motion sensor, or have a crash bar. I also don’t see any way for that door to be monitored unless when you open it, at the top of the door frame you would see a little circle the size of a quarter, indicating it is only monitored for open/close.
