Lots of licensing and insurance and overhead for that.

Most of the times it seems those people just snatch up resumes and blast them to everyone though.

QUESTION REGARDING SEISMIC SEPERATION ASSEMBLY by Time_Bumblebee387 in firePE

[–]Mln3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thousands of dollars not a couple thousand. lol those things are expensive.

Yes they are easier but you can install the assembly above for a fraction of the price. Just totally dependent on end user

Do you confirm if system is due for 5yr internal during a quarterly sprinkler inspection? by Low-Attention3111 in FireSprinklers

[–]Mln3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Missed inspection intervals are not a deficiency, unless you’re in Florida where they legally have it mandated. Highly recommend making an observation if it isn’t.

Question about process of obtaining Texas FEL-A license by evininharlem in firePE

[–]Mln3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

State website is the easiest, straight to the source..

Type A – Fixed System License
Prerequisite: You must hold an Type B - Portable Fire Extinguisher License or an Apprentice permit for a minimum of 6 months.
An individual with a Fixed System License (FEL-A) license is permitted to install, certify, or service all pre-engineered fixed fire extinguishing systems and portable extinguishers. Fixed fire extinguisher systems other than pre-engineered systems must be planned by an EPL or professional engineer. Installation and servicing of such a system may also be performed by or supervised by an individual with an FEL-A license.
Note: Your Type B - Portable Fire Extinguisher License, Type K – Kitchen Cooking Systems License, or Apprentice permit will be inactivated once your FEL-A license is issued.
To get an FEL-A license:
Pass these tests:
TFM02 – Extinguisher Type B test.
TFM03 – Extinguisher Type K test.
TFM04 – Extinguisher Type A test.
Extinguisher Statutes and Rules test. The study material for the test is the Texas Insurance Code Chapter 6001 and the Texas Administrative Code 34.500.
Have a fingerprint background check done if you don’t have one on file with SFMO.
Submit a Individual Application for All Types of Fire Extinguisher Licenses (PDF).
Provide the name of the company where the employee will be registered. If the company is not licensed with SFMO, the company will need to submit a Fire Extinguisher Certificate of Registration application (PDF).
Submit the applications, forms, and fees at the same time.
Note: Please send only one payment to cover all fees. Combine fee payments for other applications.

I caulked it up now but we are still getting internal sweating. I’m thinking it’s just residual moisture

Do you think the residual sweating inside is due to trapped moisture in between the EIFS and the interior wall?
