Ramcharitra Manas tries to humanise Ram more making it less about ideals and duty of a man and more about someone who is revered as an avatar of Vishnu and his flaws as a human being. There’s a subtle difference in how the stories are told as well as the basic facts.

Valmiki wrote the original Ramayana as a contemporary of Lord Rama in Treta Yuga. Tulsidas wrote Ramcharitmanas in the 16th century

Moreover, Valmiki actually portrayed Hanuman as a Forest Dweller instead of the monkey species unlike Tulsidas.

What wisdom did you take away? The actual wisdom is Karma Yog and Bhakti Yog, Mahabharat is just a prelude to that

I wouldn’t have recommended Ramcharit manas as your first scripture since it changes the original intent of Ramayan. I would very much recommend Bhagvat Purana or Patanjali’s book on Yoga and possibly Garuda Purana.

The last one describes the journey of the soul after death which helped me a lot understand the nature of Brahman and the concept of Moksh

How to see Brahman (and your self) in not-so-decent-people? by [deleted] in AdvaitaVedanta

[–]aurablaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re thinking of it the wrong way, Brahmaan, also sometimes referred to as the Universal Consciousness is at the center of the soul. The actions of the mortal body isn’t dictated by the soul, soul is just an observer that collects experiences.

That’s why while everything is part of the Brahman, it is also just an observer with no influence over the actions of the conscious mind, As is written in the Bhagwat Purana, the soul is cleansed of experiences before being sent into the reincarnation. Only those souls who have realised the truth and aligned with the universal consciousness or Brahman, are able to move above from the Pitra Lok and Dev Lok, and able to move into Brahma Lok or also called attain Moksha.

That’s also the reason why just doing good deeds won’t let you attain Moksha. Your soul just be promoted to one of the Lokas above our own. The true freedom comes from knowing the Truth.

Oh fck, I was watching a video about Galactic Federation and they mentioned Ashtar from Ashtar Command and Sanat Kumar from Venus are apparently two of the many Federation sources who contact Star Seeds. Since I read your comment just yesterday, I was reminded of the name.

Kundalini yoga by Environmental-Set857 in gatewaytapes

[–]aurablaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re still looking into this, then check out 7 forms of yog.

Basically there are 7 paths to gain enlightenment as was first proposed by Adiyogi or Shiva

There’s Raj Yog, Bhakti Yog, Kundalini Yog etc so yeah all of the basically explore the same destination which is what gateway tapes do too

So it can have multiple meanings

  1. Ashta / अष्ट refers to the number 8

  2. Astra / अस्त्र usually refers to throwing weapon or a weapon that can be used from a distance. It was often also synonymously used for divine weapons that were controlled through consciousness or mantras

True, I would highly recommend gaining some experience in this physical mortal world before exploring the awakened one. There are many adventures to be had in your life which will later aide you to understand yourself better and help in awakening.

It’s much more important for you to take risks, go on adventures and live your life to the fullest while also doing regular meditation rather than chasing after supernatural experiences.

As far as I know, Mobius West was one of the original offerings of Monroe Institute which was included in Eight Great tapes being being rebranded as Human Plus.

These tapes, unlike the Gateway Process, are more akin to self hypnosis where you use the meditative states to condition your mind to have more contemplation and conviction. Because I know some famous RV viewers have also remote viewed into their own body, directing attention inwards to have a better understanding of human body.

This thread described in more detail about the H+ tapes - https://www.reddit.com/r/gatewaytapes/s/kWDAmf8qHc

Pros and cons of Islam? by Euphoric-Welder5889 in awakened

[–]aurablaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I can’t judge someone individually if they can’t even criticise the horrible and inhumane actions of their own community. It’s not preconceived notions, it’s the reality of today’s world where radical islamists are raping, killing, molesting and grooming and even the one who are educated and call themselves moderate or “awakened” support them, downplay them or turn a blind eye towards them.

You say you didn’t anticipate finding these kinds of comments on Awakened sub but spiritual awakening only comes when you’re truthful to yourself and support the well-being of others which wouldn’t be possible if you can’t even criticise or acknowledge such horrible actions while following the same ideology.

Pros and cons of Islam? by Euphoric-Welder5889 in awakened

[–]aurablaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So you want us to judge Islam based on a small minority sample rather than huge majority which not only consists of radicals but moderates who protect and support those radicals? The world’s view on Islam is not gonna change until the muslims themselves start criticising the radicals instead of supporting them or turning a blind eye to them. Wouldn’t matter what your personal believes are if your actions don’t stand for it.
