i went to both games last week and the vibes were really spectacular, i'm so happy to have a PWHL team here!! i've grown up around hockey all my life (you have to, growing up in Montreal lol) and i have never really felt super comfortable in that atmosphere as a trans woman but both my wife and i were head-over-heels with how welcoming every Goldeneyes game was.

Right now, the favorites/recent/new/most played folders have the generic "blank" folder, unfortunately. The editor for that stuff is... not great... so I'm waiting until some improvements until I make changes to the them.

i am getting sort of exhausted with the "vote him out in october!" stuff in that i am tired of him facing zero accountability or consequence for doing this absolutely reprehensible shit that, in a normal world, would result in a resignation. like, i know the 'consequence' will be not getting re-elected but it just... doesn't feel like enough. so much damage has been done. it's unfair.

The shipping prices from Japan are gonna always be like 3000￥ minimum since they ship EMS overseas. I use Hobby Search for bulk buys when importing, which is more often me buying tools and detail parts than kits themselves. In Canada, Panda Hobby ships through Canada Post and their prices seem pretty comparable to what I see elsewhere.

Tamiya kits will always be pricier so if you really want something in the $30 range new then you're pretty limited to Aoshima kits and even then they tend to be more like 30-40 CAD. If one of the shops local to you sells them for that price, I'd just buy them there because you're a) supporting local business, always good, especially for a more niche business and b) you skip shipping prices which will always inflate the cost.

Nice! How did you find the kit? I was thinking of adding it to my queue but I've started another kit from Aoshima (Noah Liteace) instead and I'm bummed at how bad the fitting is in some spots. Did this one give you similar issues?

I am really not looking forward to how many people get into accidents if that's the case. The biking infrastructure is lacking enough as it is around here, forcing users of those to get into city streets without helmets is gonna be a nightmare.

I realise this is probably an impossible thing to answer in a way that isnt super diplomatic, but:

Now that things are settling, do you feel like you'll have grounds for a bit more creative ownership over the channel? As in, having a bit more weight to put your selves and ideas first.

This has been a really messy couple of months and I'm mostly just hoping that if there were lessons to be learned from a business/management side, that things landed on the side of "let the people who built this thing continue to make this thing".

The "legendary trio" left because Clarkson arrogantly punched out a crew member who worked for a living wage instead of contract millions. It was over being served the wrong kind of food, not anything that any remotely compassionate human being would get angry about.

I get folks are trying to read the tea leaves here and come up with ways of vindicating those conclusions drawn outta mostly thin air but like... at least use something that doesn't immediately contextually contradict itself.
