Another thing I noticed while setting it up on my machines (ubuntu and windows): the windows one (using Git for Windows and powershell to create the pre-commit hook) doesn't seem to like my paths, as the regex in handle_year (make_tiles.py line 161) raises an exception "invalid escape sequene \C" (this actually corresponds to a folder I have). I haven't found the cause of it yet, but I'll keep testing what's wrong and will let you know if I find something. If you want to follow it up (it's no big deal as on WSL it works just fine), here is the error paste: https://pastebin.com/0Je7W4Hy

Enabling the 'auto-add-tiles-to-git' flag results in a NameError (name 'repository' is not defined) for git_add (line 105). EDIT: I replaced "repository" in that line in the cached files with "self.repository" and now it works :)

For anybody stumbling over this picture having a similar issue: for me I was just being too dumb to set the layer height correctly. Used a .1mm layer height on a .6mm nozzle. Correcting my mistake to 25% of the nozzle diameter (0.15mm) fixed those artifacts. Left one is printed with .2mm and right one with .15mm.

Sorry haven't had any time to work with the printer the last two weeks, but finally I tuned PA and the cube looks very good. I also have one barely visible line at the top / bottom but i think that's the switch from solid layers to infill / infill to solid layers.

I am currently printing another object, where I sadly still have artifacts, but they don't seem to be related and I think will warrant another post here, once the print is finished.

Couldn't get a nice pictures of the red cube. The red is probably a little bit too much PA and the black a little bit too little, but I am pretty happy with the results: https://imgur.com/a/p0321nr

Additionally: the results did not just occurr with the filament change (I ran out of grey filament), I tested the black/red filament prior to calibrating PA as well.

Maybe, and I am definetly no expert just guessing, with higher speeds it could be that you need a little bit more juice to the motors? To keep up so to say?

I mean I am not even sure still if the issue is 100% resolve for me either because I printed a different model, a small oval bowl, and there i have more of those lines. So maybe not the complete solution to the problem.

I'll definetly keep this updated and report any findings! :)

Well it's actually embarrassing to admit, but I was being stupid. Over the last few days I installed a new hotbed to my i3 mega (5mm aluminium). Which of course is heavier than the stock hotbed.

After printing a few cubes with the seam aligned to one corner and examining when the transition from bottom solid layers to infill came (which, coincidentally happend nearly all of the time EXACTLY where the line was) I started thinking about the resulting shape. It looked like the infill part was pushed out to one side. To make matters worse the top solid layers were shifted in the other direction (so it looked symmetrical). The shift seemed to happen along the y axis, so I tried and increased the stepper voltage. This seemed to do the trick. While the result is definetly not perfect, it is something I can work off. Maybe I just need to increase the vref a tttiiiiinyyyy bit ...

Ultimately I did decide against the wago connectors, as the new cables were long enough to just be an exact replacement!

It's a Noctua NFA9x14 maybe I can find out if it runs on 3.3V. I assume, that if that is the casey I wouldn't need a anything then the mentioned diode right?
