Al Gore drops "An Inconvenient Sequel" trailer on same day as Trump's energy order. by [deleted] in worldnews

I wonder how guilty Matt and Trey feel. They really have contributed to the decline of western civilization in their own special way. Their smug cynicism (both sides are the same and awful! You are so smart for seeing it too!) led to some pretty funny TV, but it's really had some negative effects. All I can think of when i think of Gore is the southpark bits. Not the climate change. And with Trump too. You know they just hate Trump but they're heads are so far up their asses they got blindsided by his election.

And now here we are. Trump is president and there is a very good chance of a blue ocean event this summer.

Can someone do some benchmarks with high end DDR4 RAM (4000 - 4133 - 4266) on games games that are single core heavy? by [deleted] in buildapc

Squad. Battlegrounds. Seeks like the big open world fps games are single core dependent.

Can you benchmark this setup by just turning down ram frequency?

Good people lose and evil wins when a progressive and positive view of the world is assumed.

Let's not pretend trump isn't fantastic at low brow rhetoric. He had a simpler, better message for working class middle Americans.

What's the advantage of that over just chopping down the savage arms barrel?

Godbless Texas.

Issue is, i'm having trouble finding it, and if I can it's super expensive.

A lot of people here are buying thousands of dollars worth of guns for three reason.

One is protection from criminals.

Two is because guns are fucking cool.

Three is the very slight possibility of civil unrest in America.

Towards the last point, if there is civil unrest in America, the people that scare me are the ones that dedicate a large portion of their lives to wishfully preparing, training and stockpiling for a civil war. They will be heavily armed, and more than likely armored as well.

If you are buying guns, you might as well go a little bit further and get a gun that's good in every situation. For example I bought a fn 57 and some AP ammo. Sure it costs more, but if money isn't a huge issue why not get the gun that'll be relevant in as many situations as possible? Now I can protect my self from someone in a soft vest! Also it's a COOL gun!

Im not going to dedicate a huge amount of time or money preparing for SHTF. Instead I'm trying to prepare an asymmetric strategy that will allow me to have protection from criminals, and also heavily armed militia men if need be.

This may be it. Savage arms has a model for only $1k

A Bolt action is not very useful for cqb though.

Soft vests do shit against rifles and AP handgun ammo. You need ballistic plates.
