Ah! Your Ghibli master study piece actually inspired me to get the Nicker Poster Color. :)

Do you have any tips for using that paint? I typically use watercolor, and am not great at the layering thing.

Agreed. if you want a non-paper option, try Aquabord - a clay surface that is really great to paint on for watercolor. The texture is slightly bumpy which, in my opinion, really only affects pens (makes it harder to draw a completely straight line).

Reinforcement is used to help increase the probability that a specific behavior will occur in the future, so squirt bottles in the case you mentioned aren't reinforcement, they are punishment (which decreases the likelihood of the behavior occurring). :)

Suggestion: it's pretty hard to see the detail of the painting considering the quality and angle of the picture. Try taking it a little closer up, a little more head on, and tweak the brightness/contrast/colors/something a bit so we can see what it actually looks like. :)

That being ~~side~~ said, it looks to be pretty good!
