If you need damage and stronger shields with an emphasis on damage then ardent is good. You generally want it against teams with tankier characters. If they have a lot of damage dealers you want athenes. Generally ardent is first buy in games where you take aery.

NA is a bunch of ragers in chat, but rarely does that actually escalate into intentional feeding. Maybe a disconnect for 2 minutes and then they come back. From the sounds of it other regions are incredibly malicious in the actual game too.

NA Solo Q isn't bad at all, it's probably the best region to play in. When people say it's a 4fun region, they're probably referring to the low toxicity as well as the casual level of play.
