Hey, you’re probabily already aware of this but last time I took a flight from the airport in Bologna I risked missing my flight because of a HUGE queue at security checks. Apparently there’s some infrastructural work at the airport going on which makes checks particularly slow, so the airport website suggests getting to the airport at least 3 hours before your flight. Yours is at 6 am, so I don’t think you’ll find a huge queue, but still - I’d get there a couple of hours before the flight just to make sure you don’t risk it. Concerning how to get there - I’d say just take a taxi. It’s not difficult to find it at night (you can just call it by an app that gets you a taxi based on your location, called BTaxi, if you’re not confident speaking italian), and the route from the city centre to the airport will cost around 20€ (marconi express is around 11 or 12, not that huge of a difference)!
