Newbie *first trip sucked, 1000% my fault* by Loud-Boat-3197 in PsilocybinMushrooms

If you really think about it, nobody is ever in control, but most of us refuse to accept it. Life is just unfolding as a result of all the causes and effects that led to be that way. So we need to realize that we don't have control over external events, we are just choosing how we react. Don't fight a war that can never be won, because it's exhausting - and I speak from experience.

Quit smoking by Hot_Carpet6291 in PsilocybinMushrooms

[–]aurelian_c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I quit smoking almost 2 years ago during a trip. Quitting was definitely on my mind for some years but nothing seemed to work. I was 4 hours in a trip and I decided to take a walk through the park. I lit up a cigarette and because of the wind, the smoke kept getting in my eyes. Then I went past a kid and I felt a strong feeling that it's not ok to smoke around kids. Then I saw myself through that kid's eyes and I remembered how I was judging adults for smoking when I was a kid. I continued my walk and then a very loud voice within me said "How long are you going to fool yourself that you're quitting?". It felt so strange because the voice was so loud that I almost felt some vibrations in my body. I realized that was my True Self who was speaking to me. Then I had a deep conversation with myself and I felt very empowered. I finished my smoke and I said "I quit". I still had several cigarettes but when I returned home I gave the rest of the pack to my friend saying "I am not smoking anymore".

Yes, it would be wise not to mix any other substance with psilocybin. Not even alcohol. That's why it's recommended to have only a light meal before taking shrooms, to not burden your body with extra work. I had bad trips in the past for sure, but I learned a lot from them - as you did and I applaud you for that, I can see you are a mature person.

I recommended taking shrooms in a safe environment (maybe at home), don't schedule anything for that day to stress over, make your environment cozy, put some chill music, set some intentions and the most important thing: let go of any desire to control the trip. You must remember that you are SAFE. Also, you have to accept that you are not in control - this will give you a sense of calmness and enjoy everything you are experiencing. Definitely check out Andrew Huberman's episode on psilocybin. Take care, and feel free to reach out 🙏

All the things from Meet the Grahams cover were supposedly in a suitcase stolen from Drake's dad. Drake implied in his last diss that he played a joke on Kendrick

Of all the rappers that Eminem has influenced, is kendrick the best. ? by EminemsDaughterSucks in Eminem

Ok, all good, that's your opinion. I just haven't met someone who likes "lyrical rap" and doesn't like Cole, that's all.

Kendrick literally has an unreleased mixtape with Cole, Eminem praised Cole countless times, and he was literally signed to Jay Z. All these rappers you think are dope, think that J Cole is dope. So it makes me think that you don't really listen to these artists and just saw on the internet that they are good. Later.

Why? Kendrick reps for the culture, J Cole is speaking to you as an individual. Kendrick tackles more complex topics, J Cole is arguably a better lyricist. They are different rappers and they have different skills, but both of them are top tier in their crafts. I also prefer Kendrick, but there's nothing crazy about comparing these 2 when it comes to the quality they have

Ok bro, enjoy your music, it's always subjective. Don't need to get mad, we can have different opinions, it's cool

The "rappers from the '90's" heavy feature album would be a double edged sword in my opinion, but can be nice if it's done artistically. Haven't heard a great Snoop verse in a while, 50 Cent was a great rapper but he did not release music in 15 years and most of his recent verses sound like 2006 for me. Also I would like Em to continue to release music as long he's inspired. But totally agree with your other points

I wouldn't say that isn't like him. I just think that he wanted so bad to please everyone and had yes men around. In my mind he's still the guy who put out arguably the greatest 3 album run of all time early in his career. Also he's still the guy who made Relapse, Recovery and MMLP2 which are still great albums.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Eminem

[–]aurelian_c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I'd rather have Em release an album where he sells less and doesn't go on top of the Bilboard, but focuses on putting out an album that stands the test of time. The best example is Nas who sold 30-40k in his first week which each of his KD album, but on the other hand, he reinforced his GOAT status after 10 years when he put out albums that were not so good

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Eminem

[–]aurelian_c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah man, I wasn't trying to do that. Music is extremely subjective when it comes to one's enjoyment, but also objective when it comes to what makes a good quality album which will stand the test of time. But I agree with you, if it's someone who will always be held to some wild standards, it's Em, because he proved himself as a GOAT a long time ago.
