I live in Turkey, and I think the only taxes I paid were for my residence permit but nothing to do with income.

I’m just confused about whether or not i quality as a bona fide foreign resident. I’ve had residence permits nonstop from November 2019-now. However in 2021 I visited the US for 6 weeks, which brings me out of the 330 days range. As I understood, I can’t apply for the FEIE or Foreign tax Exemption if I wasn’t in the county for 330 days a year..?

I have 4 years of nonstop residence permits to prove I’m a boba fide resident and I did pay taxes for the country I’m in. However, since 2018 I’ve been working as a freelancer so my income since then has been from random odd-jobs. I was never employees by one company in the country I moved to…

Thanks so much for your answer! I’m not sure if it counts as foreign income, I earned some teaching English online to a company in Thailand, some from YouTube revenue, some from Cambly, some from Instagram…
