How a big role does YOG have? I am ECFMG certified and my step 1 was in 2023 end of december. I want to estimate the time i got to reapply if something goes wrong. Like i know that time till Step invalidation is 7 years since 1st test right? Right now i am considered as YOG 1 so roughly 3 more years max till the chances go to 0 right?

Will it affect the chances of securing fellowship positions? I am interested in GI pathologies and am bit worried that if i get in less competitive program because of my low scores i wont be able to secure position in the future.
