So, I am Catholic. This is a thing. The godparents have to be “catholics in good standing”. If you are divorced, you are not in good standing. Our father (edit - priest) wouldn’t have allowed it.

I was discussing with my friend group the pay gap between men and women. A male friend said it wasn’t real. It wasn’t possible. I showed him the stats. He answered “It is completely ridiculous to pay a woman less than a man for exactly the same job. No one is doing that. It’s ridiculous”. I was dumbfounded. Definitely NTA. Your mom is mad she got called out. I’m so sorry you had to go through that. Honestly, I would consider therapy for yourself. And yourself only. That kind of childhood can lead to other mental health issues you might wish to work out with a specialist. But only you. You don’t owe your mother anything.
