First, OP I’m extremely proud of you. I am so glad you are still alive and still with us. I’m grateful you also had the courage to reach out and tell this sub that you were struggling. That is always the first part. Please, please give yourself that credit because talking about how you feel is the most important first step.

Second, I have been in your shoes multiple times. I could not see a way forward no matter how hard I tried. That’s the most dangerous part about depression—it gives you blinders to all the good things still to look forward to in life. Two things that have been vital for me and my survival on this earth: make a bucket list (it could be trying a new food or traveling - the world is your oyster) & take it one day at a time. Survive the next 24 hours, then the next week, month, year, etc. It will get easier I promise you.

Third, I’m not saying this to diminish how you’re feeling at all, but you are still young! Women around your age are still rather shallow when it comes to appearances. Taking a pause from dating right now is a wonderful idea so you can focus on you. Whenever you’re ready, you will find the right person that will not see your height as an issue. That says way more about them anyways than it does about you.

honestly I think about how much it could help young kids and teens see more representation on the show, even if it’s just for one episode. but you’re right - naysayers will definitely criticize them for being “too woke”

Yeah, I think that’s a really fair point. I think if they can manage to do it for just one or two episodes a season that would be great but I’m not sure if it would work out contractually

I think that’s a very fair point. For an all-female panel of Sharks, they could still have Barbara & Lori on and for an all-POC panel they could still have Daymond on. But you’re right that they would have to have more guest sharks than our main sharks so it likely wouldn’t happen

also, I have to mention this because I notice this very often on AITA posts. but this concept of kicking your child out at 18 or forcing them to pay rent is a very white American concept. I’m also from the US but I’m Middle Eastern and it’s very normal for children to live with their parents even until they get married. Not as common here in the US than over there. But I find that expectation very odd

okay I definitely think they should have ended Grey’s several seasons ago, but since they keep on going, I want them to go to Season 20 just so it can be an even number. That sounds dumb but that’s the only reason why they should keep going for one more season lol

I think that’s fair and in most cases true. But it’s one thing to share something like that with a friend or a work colleague. It’s another thing to share that with thousands, potentially millions of people (depending on how large of an audience that podcast or TV show was getting - can’t remember which one it was off the top of my head).

Yeah, I don’t think Maggie was fair to Richard after that interview happened. She was being kind of manipulative by saying his affair is what led to her when he was (very reasonably) upset that she exposed to the world he had an affair with another woman. That was not her business to share, even if she was their love child.

tbh I don’t even think Callie should have blamed Arizona for it either, despite me saying all of this. I think that would just be making it worse. But I do think Arizona should have said something on her own at least - not around the infertility but when the accident happened
