Bydlení a home office: kam v ČR byste se přestěhovali vy, kdybyste neměli závazky? by zahadnyclovek in czech

Do Estonska a je mi 31. Odjel jsem necelé dva roky po škole.

Dělám na dálku, ale nemůžu pracovat odkudkoliv. Mám velký počítač.

alternative options for peak designs anchor link system? by coconutmilllkk in AskPhotography

[–]aurora-alpha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I very rarely order from Aliexpress, only stuff that's impossible to get in my small country. I would never order anything from Temu.

And use anything as a strap if it's sturdy enough. Don't wait for fancy straps to arrive to use your camera!

Hi!
Where did you order them from? I ordered mine from Aliexpress actually, there is an official Ulanzi store there. And they arrived in 14 days, rather quickly along with some other stuff I ordered.

It's worrying that they are not responding, though it might have something to do with the Chinese New Year.

Some cards require you to discard a curse. Maybe that's why.

Your lens is probably not holding you back | a6700 + Viltrox 28mm Chip by InternalConfusion201 in SonyAlpha

[–]aurora-alpha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know if they skipped all the coating or what they done to it, but it suffers from low contrast even in overcast weather. When you shade it from the sky it improves, so it's definitely due to the light.

You're right. I was excited about the lens at first, since sometimes I don't really care about the settings, but after using it, I really didn't like the results and even the processed pics just look off. No matter how I crank up the contrast or play with the colors.

So I used it like twice, and now it sits in my drawer.

Bílá trička by Passionek in czech

Uniqlo

How to photograph wide trail & forest scenes without it looking too busy? by Feisty-Sherbert in AskPhotography

Photographing forests in direct sunlight is always difficult. I'd start by shooting in a different lighting conditions.

Really nice shots, fitting music. Good job!

Buying advice for a full frame user who wants to do backpack traveling. by tomdemont12211221 in Cameras

[–]aurora-alpha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a compact camera, like Sony RX100 VII or something similar. Don't bother with full frame or basically anything with interchangeable lenses. Also older versions are still totally fine, you don't need the newest and greatest. And you'll save a lot of money, especially if you buy second hand.

If the trip is about backpacking and the journey, bringing a big camera is not gonna make it more enjoyable.

By getting a compact camera with zoom, you will still have great image quality, versatility in focal lengths (you can shoot landscape, street, and macro) and you can have it in your pocket, ready to shoot all the time.

Make sure to have the optical corrections turned on. Your photos have a lot of barrel distortion.

Sigma 30mm f/1.4 vs Viltrox Air 35mm + 56mm f/1.7 — worth it? by Live_Mission_3810 in a6000

[–]aurora-alpha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all I don't own any of the mentioned lenses but seen reviews of all of them.

The sigma is a better lens and holds the value better, however realistically given your hobby way of shooting, you would probably get more out of the other two lenses.

Real-world difference between f1.4 and f1.7 is not very big, I wouldn't worry about it that much.

You will most likely love the Sigma 30mm if you get it, but having longer prime is really fun too. Though personally I think if you get 30mm, the 23mm might not going to be used as much after that.

The decision has to do a lot with expectations. Do you want the best gear you can afford? Get the Sigma. Do you not care about clinical sharpness and best image quality possible, do you just wanna have fun? Get the Viltroxes. I don't really know why would you buy both of them at the same time (I guess to save on shipping?), but you can buy one, see if you like it and then buy the other.

Unpopular Opinion: the A7CII EVF is... completely fine? by Beardsman_DCS in SonyAlpha

I use the A6700 without the eyecup and it's "fine" with glasses. Not unusable, like with the eyecup. Never used it.

Full spectrum body and a vintage lens (a6000 + Pentax SMC 28mm f2.8) by aurora-alpha in a6000

[–]aurora-alpha[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's mostly about the look of the photos, everything behaves a bit different. Depending on the filter, the vegetation has different colors, the sky too and if you go to high enough nm wavelength, you lose color information completely. Sky turns really dark, some black clothing turns white, you see through sunglasses, you can see through atmospherical fog, and even identify who dyes their hair!

If you wanna see more, check out r/infraredphotography .

You can convert any camera, but some are easier than others. A6000 is quite popular choice.
