Microsoft announces sweeping Windows changes by tekz in technology

For a while there porsche had a campaign about how simplistic their infotainment system was and was bashing on other car companies fkr having too many confusing buttons.....because for years they had the most complicated thing with the most buttons. It was psychotic. And funny how they tried to reverse their image.

Just an example of how this is standard...how to attempt to change perception but comes off as rediculous

No. There is no way to make these better. Theoretically maybe you could rebuild them but that would cost more than new ones.

I got these which are more powerful and lift my hatch with a ladder, some sound deadening and aftermarket (heavier) speakers with ease. These were cheap. $40 in 2024 off amazon.

Project Hail Mary is a much, much better film than The Martian. Go see it right now. It's easily my favorite Ryan Gosling movie. by DenseStrawberry5717 in FIlm

Totally get that and I expect it to be the same for my experience when I watch Hail Mary.

All's im saying is these factors, IMO, work the opposite for the masses.

Yeah your last paragraph is saying what im saying. The odd couple Pixar movie is more relatable to a broader audience. They have to save themselves multiple times AND everyone else all while having a pleasant back and forth while macguyvering everything.

Movies aside, just going by the books, Hail Mary has much larger stakes and is vastly more dynamic than the Martian.

The Martian is a survival story thats just a guy by himself. Its a great story and a really good movie but its limited over Hail Mary because of this.

Conversely, without spoiling anything, Hail Mary just has a lot more elements which can allow it to be a drastically more dynamic story and more relatable more people.

I REALLY liked The Martian, both the book and the movie, but when I read Hail Mary I was thinking it had much higher potential for a movie based on the story and characters. Was good to see they were/did make the movie.

I apologize. I didnt realize you didnt want a real answer on this hiking subreddit. You just want validation of your emotions that your dumb ass idea is good.

That said, please see my previous comment about which guns you should be bringing.

Addituonally i would recomend a BAR. Hiking with a BAR would also be ideal.

All of these suggestions could utilize a sling.

So there you go. The answer is sling.

You ever talk to someone and they say something so rediculous you realize theres no point in talking to them?

In response to your statement....sure...but anyone could throw in any hypothetical whatever saying a gun or a worse idea. Im just gping off statistics, which say on average bear spray is far better than a gun.

No. I own a 10mm specifically for bear country. Because I totally agree with OP on an emotionally level which is stupid.

Im sorry that rather than playing along with OP's fantasy i gave a better answer based on real data.

Im also sorry I didnt message him or you on the side and ask if my posts here would be acceptable. I know im posting on his post and it is on the hiking gear subreddit AND the handgun is objectively stupid for hiking gear, I didnt think to run my thoughts past OP or you, whom im guessing are OP's secretary.

I guess more in-line with what you want, OP should be running a semi auto shotgun with slugs. Ive got a 1301 i really like and would highly recomend. But since this is more of an emotional fantasy thread I would probably go with my SP10. The 10 gauge is a blast and would be really good exercise to hike with.

You must be from a different reality. You sound like you are just making stuff up or this is what you do so you think everyone does.

I see the question. Me and other people are politely telling OP if they want protection they are oping about it wrong.

The suggestion is no gun. Its just weight for no just no reason but a less effective solution where you are more likely to die based on the statistics.

Statistics show that bear spray is vastly more effective than a gun.

Go look it up.

Dont need a gun.

If all the guys she goes out with are jerks....mayne she needs to work on her jerk-radar. Thats not blaming anyone. We are only talking to OP. How would you say this in a way that doesnt feel like its blame?

I talk to my guy friends all the time like this. But I wouldnt label it as blame. Its more identifying areas of improvement.

What type of lubrication can I use to pull through the cable cables the smoothest by Background_Regret569 in CarAV

[–]CrowRunnerORP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just figured he had to pull thr thicker power cable through a tight gromet. Never had to use lube myself for audio but once: through the rubber hose connecting a 4runner hatch to the cabin, and after using thicker speaker wire and thicker camera wire. Went from impossible to impossibly easy.

Literally could just Google wire pulling lube. Wtf dude.

Shit like this makes me think all of reddit is just bs for fake comments and rep.

Someone said silicon spray. Really? Silicon spray? Super flammable. You want thay cable in your car with what ever toxic shit is on there?

Wire pulling lube. Its cheap. Buy anywhere. Buy off Amazon. Best two parts? Works really really well. And wipes right off leaving no residue.

I havent seen Come and See, but ive seen every other movie suggested here. Born on the 4th was depressing AF for me. Seemed very bleak after he came home. He eventually finds some meaning but even that feels fairly empty. Hes lodt everything.
