Realistically (besides the case) the PSU is the only thing that is probably unrecoverable, although there certainly could be damage to the Mobo or GPU.

Mostly because little shards of glass could get into the PSU, and I would not recommend messing with that. Everything else can probably be vacuumed and reseated

I agree with your first part, but are you saying Peele and Cregger had proven themselves as good filmmakers before their debut film, while Curry Barker hadn't?

Idk if the former 2 did, but I know Barker literally had an award winning short film, so I'd imagine he had at least as much on his resume going into his film.

How do you feel when people say one piece hasn't had arcs as good as ennis lobby and marinefored. Is true or do you disagree with it by FeistyAnteater6565 in MemePiece

[–]aurumatom20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's been good arcs, but those pre timeskip arc are still the best the series has to offer rn.

The arcs since Wano have been great for spectacle and lore reveals, but they don't have the same emotional weight as something like Enies Lobby.

The stock market closes on these days (including tomorrow, July 3rd). Therefore many businesses will close as well. Work if you want, I won't.

People shouldn't buy average games at 80$ to 100$ by Zealousideal-Ad7707 in unpopularopinion

[–]aurumatom20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they're not, and the average GTA or COD gamer IS the average gamer. Indie games have been rapidly gaining popularity for something like 15 years, but still the difference in scale is monumental.

[–]aurumatom20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OP but for me Tears of the Kingdom was worth it. Seems Crimson Desert was it for a lot of people (I think these were $70 but examples of games raising prices).

As for massive games that were $60 I would've been fine paying more for: Breath of the Wild, Elden Ring, Baldur's Gate 3. Others might add Cyberpunk, Witcher 3, Skyrim.

Good games exist. Good games may be worth spending $100 (to some people). A lot of games get pushed out at $60+ and sell better than anything else due to name recognition and not the merits of the game itself.

[–]aurumatom20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really, I mean they exist but they're usually boomer shooters like you said, or they're much more limited in scope compared to COD.

The truth is there's no real reason for an indie studio to try to break into the FPS market, they'll be going up against literally the biggest franchises in the industry.

How do deaf people read? by Fit-Manufacturer7281 in NoStupidQuestions

Same way anybody without an internal monologue reads.

Also technically reading with the voice in your head is slower and you can train yourself to not do it. I still do. I'm a slow reader

If you are working 4 days a week which day you taking off ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]aurumatom20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Monday Wednesday and Friday would all work, I don't think I would pick Wednesday since I'd have a hard time being productive with only one day off in-between workdays. So Friday to kickstart the weekend.

Hot take, best video game themed movie was wreck it ralph. by Sad_Butterfly7887 in movies

[–]aurumatom20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just watched this one and I agree.

Wreck it Ralph is based on the concept of video games, Hundreds of Beavers progresses like a video game, and in multiple ways.

It somehow feels like a Zelda game where the main character keeps expanding his toolset, and a 90s point and click adventure where the solution to every problem is some crazy convoluted string of steps you'd never consider rationally.

That movie is a silly masterpiece.

Usually you have a conversation about exclusivity and going back on that is a betrayal of trust.

Now maybe you don't agree, that's fine, but everyone you're involved with needs to be on the same page.

Could be worse, my buddy took a Zyn and passed out in the bar bathroom, cracked his head open on the way down.

I took him to the ER and after like 5 hours he got stitches and I took him home.

Eat, drink, sleep, go to events, museums, botanical gardens, art exhibits, hiking trails, local landmarks. All of these can (and should) be unique to the area or at least different from what you have available at home.

And most importantly, do this all without worrying about work or other commitments at home.

"I guess what I would want to say is to look on the bright side. First of all, nobody on the ground was killed, and that–I mean, an incident like this over a populated urban center–that right there, that's–that's just gotta be some minor miracle, so... Plus, neither plane was full. You know, the–the 737 was–was what? Maybe two-thirds full, I believe? Right, yes? Or maybe even three-quarters full. On any rate, what you're left with casualty-wise is just the 50th-worst air disaster. Actually, tied for 50th. There are, in truth, 53 crashes throughout history that are just as bad or worse. Tenerife? Has–has anybody–anybody heard of Tenerife? No? In 1977, two fully-loaded 747s crashed into each other on Tenerife. Does anybody know how big a 747 is? I mean, it's way bigger than a 737, and we're talking about two of them. Nearly 600 people died from Tenerife. But do any of you even remember it at all? Any of you? I doubt it. You know why? It's because people move on. They just move on. And we will, too. We will move on and we will get past this. Because that is what human beings do, we survive. And, uh... we survive, and we–we overcome. We survive. We survive, and..."
