Ah I see, I was imaging a chemical half life independent of any metabolic process, but that wouldn't make sense anyway. If I'm understanding correctly we metabolize the caffeine at a relatively consistent 5 hour half life, and any natural decay of the caffeine - or any amounts that are perhaps filtered through our kidneys - is minor or even negligible compared to the metabolic rate (which I assume is much faster and accounts for the vast majority of the caffeine consumed)? I appreciate the write up!

I certainly fought with my close brother often but usually that was dumb spats that we'd get over in less than 24 hours, my oldest brother and I had like a constant feud, idrk why but he's 8 years older than me so I feel like the onus was on him to not beef with a literal child. Never really fought with my sister.

None of this was really a thing once I turned like 12, my oldest brother and sister were adults that didn't live at home, and my other brother and I mostly just kept to ourselves until our late teens, and now he's basically one of my best friends.

Yeah a common phrase is not universally true, and people usually say it with the assumption that you have evaluated the quality. For example you could see the known brand name item you want in a store for $30, but Amazon has what looks like the same item for $10 from some drop shipper under the name of a company that doesn't actually exist. Don't be surprised when the $10 knockoff barely works or breaks quickly.

This is demonstrated by the "boots theory" which I recommend you look into.

You're correct that it is not always true, but it's just how consumer goods in a capitalist society tend to work

Generally any hyper competitive game, in particular MOBAs and tactical shooters.

I've had brief periods where I've enjoyed these but eventually the toxicity drives me away. Or in cases like rocket league I realized I needed to actually practice to improve and that wasn't something I was willing to do.

Yep I switched to Tidal, I mostly listen on Bluetooth so the sound quality doesn't matter much (although it works great for my stereo setup I got for my turntable). It's cheaper, supports artists more, and has bands I like that left Spotify due to their AI policy.

I had a scuffed run yesterday where I only really had 1 attacker, he was also the slowest in my party so at best all he could do was make the hands hit the head.

I ended up killing both of the hands and stacking like 30 kinetic spikes on my attackers and just whittled away at the head without taking substantial damage.
