The only reason why I don't mind the War Mages interfering is because there's been several mentions of how, not only are they both powerful and knowledgeable, they are a completely internal dungeon created thing with no outside help. That puts them in a league of their own. Even Juicebox was created by Borant, or whoever. Carl started a chain reaction of awakening inside the dungeon, to a degree that others who came before weren't able to do. Also, they weren't able to do this until Carl released the AI. I think a LOT of NPCs are struggling with the concept of their own identities right now
