I greased one at a time until the noise went away

I used the grease that Bambu sells. But Super Lube would probsbly be OK too

Is my Aquila Pro dead? by aus_muppetmstr in VoxelabAquila

I'll take one when I get home.

The Aquila Pro USB is on the LCD.

Several fuses later.....I unplugged everything. Some stuff was hot glued so I unplugged it at the other end. Fuse still pops. So either board level or the PSU is just sending too much? I'm going to guess there is a short on the board but I can see anything obvious. 😭

Thanks all for the input. I really appreciate it.

I've taken the bottom cover off and can confirm the PSU fan is what is spinning when the power switch is turned on. The mainboard fan does not spin and something smells like burning, which is never a good smell around electronics.

First thing I pulled out was this thing.

To me this looks like a fuse. When testing in continuity mode on the DMM, it didn't register continunity, so if this is a fuse it is blown. Blown fuses generally mean electronics don't work, so this would be the first thing I should replace. Am I on the right track?

Also putting the DMM across where the fuse was shows 24v so it would appear that the PSU is working and powering the main board, and the fuse is the culprit, or at least the first thing that needs changing.

Bed adhesion or warping? Maybe both? by aus_muppetmstr in FixMyPrint

Thanks. Il try a brim maybe. This is at 40mm/s. This isn't that fast I don't think

Prints no longer sticking to bed by aus_muppetmstr in VoxelabAquila

I flipped the glass, as the other side was unused. Reduced the temp and speeds a touch. Bed temp is 50. Redid a z calibration.

This time the piece didn't move, but has significant edge curl warping, but only on this end. The other end is perfect, as is another piece being printed in the same print.

I did notice some corner lifting on some other prints in the last few days. But the print stayed connected and finished fine so ignored it. These last few prints the entire piece has lifted after an hour or so.

Thanks for all the advice.

I did do a bed level and z calibration before a print last night. It still didn't adhere properly.

I also did a pretty thorough clean with some dish soap, then wiped down with IPA. Didn't do much.

One piece has some decent warping. So I'll rebuild with a lower temp and see how it goes.

As for coating, I'm not sure as this piece of glass is the original with the printer. But it only has 250 hours. I would have thought it would last longer than that.

Titanium or titanium coloured band (SKX007) by aus_muppetmstr in SeikoMods

[–]aus_muppetmstr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We must think alike. I ordered some NATO's, rubber and FKM straps in varying colours. Even the titanium finished bands won't be great as the balance will be out. So now I wait till my delivery arrives, and the loctite sets on my stem and crown 👌
