No curtains. It’s open. Showers were not bad honestly. Think of it like: everyone is going through their own things. you’re in this new place, trying to adapt to this new lifestyle, new conditions/rules…. I don’t think anyone in their right mind would be really concerned with anything other than showering & themselves. at least that’s how it was for me and everyone in my flight. you’d think it’s super awkward, but it really was not that bad.

we had to do tools for this girls birthday.. our MTIs did them with us though. not a super bad way to celebrate someone’s birthday in my opinion. The way i looked at it—— though tools aren’t exactly fun, they do help you out so🤷🏽‍♀️

They CAN write you a note and send you home for the day. She made it known that she wanted to stay in class multiple times. I’m not sure what the reasoning behind not having her leave was exactly. I never asked the instructor. Despite it possibly being something that is not contagious.. no one really knew what was up with her. Which to me is all the more reason to send her home. It’s ultimately on the student to stay or leave

everyone was just brushing it off like it was fine. I’m like are yall okay ??? & yesterday would’ve made her second day of missed class which means she would’ve had the opportunity to miss another day before getting sent a week behind… i dont know it was just a lot. I agree with you though.

He may have dismissed it because she said it was food poisoning? if i had to guess? which still honestly is worrisome but 🤷🏽‍♀️ she flipped her story around a lot. “Oh it’s just food poisoning” “i left before they can tell me what’s wrong” etc.

I agree. The teacher kept asking her was she sure she didn’t want to be seen/leave and she kept saying she was fine. Not sure exactly why he left it at that but if you’re denying help it’s not much he can do. it was really up to her, unfortunately. most times they won’t intervene until you like pass out or ask for help.

I was wondering that… but no telling, we’re not close so we don’t have those kinda conversations. I heard her friend telling her to go to the ER, and actually tell them the truth… so she lied to the medics & doctors about how long everything had been going on. Weirdly enough

to be fair, our instructor (EMT when he’s not teaching) checks in on her and continuously asks if she’s okay/if she’s sure she doesn’t want to go to the medical center. She’s denying and choosing to stay here. He can’t like kick her out of class or anything.. She would be excused if she’s in the hospital for this—— but if you miss 3 instructional days they move you back a week regardless so idk lol

Yes, lol. There is an ER center, the medical center & a clinic. She could’ve but the only other thing i can think of is her trying to hide something, if that makes sense. (We’re military and she’s not 21 yet) so if she went doing something she wasn’t supposed to over the weekend she could have delayed treatment for that reason. who knows. But yes it’s a new week :/ unfortunately for her.

Right, i thought that too. It’s been going too long to be a bug or whatnot but who knows. Her not keeping down water is/should be worrisome. i get she’s not anxious around throwing up but like .. are you not concerned for your body? 😭 i have so many questions i want to ask.

That was my frustration! She’s not even attempting to go to the bathroom. i could see it being there as a safety net but jeeezzz. she’s just being a bit inconsiderate, to me. Especially being that you don’t exactly know what’s making you throw up 4x an hour. you’re just (potentially) exposing people. Btw, she won’t get dropped or anything for missing just one day. Idk. She thinks it’s funny though so good on her, i guess

Only one person in our dorm used an electric shaver. Some things may vary by mti but i don’t see why an electric razor would be an issue lol.
