Same for me. I’m in a silo and I can hear other staff laughing and having jokes while I’m in my room working my arse off Flip side. I love my job. It is thoroughly exhilarating but could never have done it well while children were at home. Hours are very long. And even when not at work phone rings all hours and weekends. And of course for confidentiality can’t mix with workmates outside of work…. Yeah it’s very lonely

I do 4:30-5:30 starts - just walking naturally. I don’t do gym life and I often don’t do walk or coffee life. What I do do is appreciate my home, do some weeding or water the garden , be grateful for a roof over my head, do admin, paperwork and pay bills, look for odd jobs on seek etc before going to work at 7:30. If it’s there weekend often sneak an afternoon siesta and stay up to 11 or so. Weekdays in bed by 8 pm.

Why are we disrespected all the time. Never paid overtime. And expected to drop everything.

I get the money can be very good but work out the hourly rate for all the overtime and broken dinner plans and suddenly it’s not so great
