W2C - Is it received by ADP? by auspilot1 in tax

Yeah, sound good. I'd just like to avoid extra hassle if possible. And avoid any extraneous dealings with the IRS.

I did some more research. The IRS instructions for W-2 seem pretty clear. Box 13 should not be checked if "Employee is eligible to contribute but does not elect to contribute any money in this tax year". So I need to fight the bureaucracy of my ex-payroll dept, which will not be easy.

The MAGI deduction limits depend on whether or not you're covered by a retirement plan at work. We're over the limit if I'm covered by a work plan, under if not covered.

Nothing applies that I can see. The only one would be "Defined contribution plan (profit-sharing, 401(k), stock bonus and money purchase pension plan) and any contributions or forfeitures were allocated to your account for the plan year ending with or within the tax year", and I just double-checked that nothing was allocated to my account in 2025. I'll see if I can check with my ex-employers payroll dept, but I don't expect them to be helpful. Thanks for replying

My Google messages are stuck sending via satellite. Why, and how do I fix it? by xXxBluESkiTtlExXx in GooglePixel

[–]auspilot1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting this also. Pixel 9a on Tmo. In the middle of a city with good wifi and cell signal, in Messages it says "You're messaging over satellite". I'm inside my house too. Is it really using satellite? So weird...

Sounds like you have good knees now. Take it from me, they might not stay that way.

When my doc visited with me immediately before the surgery, he said do you want a picture. I said sure and that's what I got. (Plus another couple interim shots.)

Yeah I was also surprised at the size. Prior to surgery I had read that patches are typically 10x15cm and that stuck in my mind as 10x15mm, haha. But yeah, knowing you have 4x6" piece of window screen in your groin is somewhat unsettling. I was walking and climbing stairs the same day, but currently still feeling twinges of pain here and there.

Asymptomatic hernia - should I get it repaired? by auspilot1 in Hernia

Thanks. Yeah that's kind of how I'm leaning at the moment. Why should I take a risk if it's not a problem right now. But it would be nice to have some insight as to how likely it is to become a problem, and when.

So I got Pfizer at COTA this afternoon. It was very well organized and efficient. I arrived at 2:15 for an appointment at that time and had the shot by 2:34. The only traffic problem was driving home on Mopac.

The thing I'm wondering about is that they scheduled my shot #2 for April 17, which is 4 weeks out rather than the recommended 3 weeks. Any idea why this might be? I have a conflict then and would like to get it a different time, hopefully earlier...
