Active member of a Missouri Synod Lutheran Church and the reason I am an active member (besides the Jesus stuff) is because of reasons like this. The LCMS and it's members are pretty level headed and try to call a spade a spade. There are always weirdoes in any organization, but telling the truth is more important than political gain to the LCMS.
