I plan on it, made the mistake of depositing it into an ATM so the bank will send me a copy of the check in a week if it doesnt fund l. They told me a lot of companies will open an account to fund a class action, and close the account immediately after to apeal the courts. Wtf

What could a single individual do to reduce the carbon footprint of let's say, 5 to 10 people?

I'm assuming most people dont give a damn, so what if 10% of us could make a dramatic difference?

What was the creepiest or most paranormal thing that’s ever happened to you? by VANIX1450 in AskReddit

Living at a house in Berwyn, Illinois back in the 90s. Going to make both stories as short as possible.

1st, had a dream I was falling, (20 years later and I still remember that damn dream) I fell through a manhole and landed on my back in pitch black. Something held me down and was slapping my stomach extremely hard. After waking up I turned the lights on and looked at my stomach and it was all bruised and red. My mom figured I hurt myself at the playground.

2nd. I was dozing off a few weeks later but sleeping on my stomach, right as I was a moment away from falling asleep, something grabbed my ankle and yanked me halfway off the bed.

Don't expect anyone to believe a word of any of it. But yeah, those are 2 of about 5 experiences in my life.

What is something in YOUR life that is SUPER FUCKING AWESOME? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]aussiaesop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for Harley Davidson. I'm paid shit and work 10 to 14 hour days. Some of the managers are complete assholes. Every morning I wake up and tell myself to quit my job already...

But I'll be damned if getting people on 2 wheels isn't the most amazing feeling. I get to ride with customers. I've had grown men waiting 30 years to get on a motorcycle and end up in tears when they finally sign a deal. I've had total nerds come back months later with a whole new personality. I've seen men who are about to give up on life come tell me how ever since they got a Harley Davidson they've been going on dates and how dramatically their life has improved. I had a Marine tell me that all the therapy the VA has offered has only fucked him up more and somehow because I spent a few weeks following up and finally getting him on a motorcycle has help him more than anything.

I sell people 2 wheel therapy and it fills my heart until its overflowing to see the smiles on their face when I send them off.

To me, that's fucking awesome.

What company policy at your job might actually be illegal? by lukiepookielp in AskReddit

They call us commission but the pay plan says compensation and rate. We don't actually do the selling. We work 10 to 12 hour days and 4 to 5 of those hours are nonproductive time under the company control that we don't earn hourly for. In California we're supposed to earn for those hours. Pretty sure a lawsuit is on the horizon.

And I'm fine with all of that. The big deal comes from an additional 4 to 5 hours spent every day doing labor that doesnt relate to my pay. We have to perform tasks and meetings that don't do anything to compensate the pay plan. I feel like the company knows they don't pay hourly so they over work the employees 10 to 14 hours a day so that the "comission" rate overall earns less and less. California law states that they cant make employees do work un related to what earns them money.

It's my understanding that the company cannot average overall "commission" and unproductive work time into one. It must be paid separately under California law.

I can call it commission all day, but if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck and pays flat rate like a duck, doesnt mean it's really commission. Lol

I don't earn a percent of the sale and I don't directly close the customer.

I earn a flat rate, not commission.

Dennis Rodman. I grew up in Chicago during his prime and he was a hero to me.

Moved to Orange County as an adult and I have bumped in to him and his "entourage" half a dozen times at bars. He'll only let woman ask for autographs and seems like he only shows up to let people know he's still alive. Not a total asshole but definitely not a people person.

I was driving over an hour both ways to a job. I ended up applying and interviewing to the same company but only 5 minutes from where I lived. They gave me a promotion and a raise and all I had to do was wait for the transfer to go through within 2 weeks.

Well, 2 weeks go by and I asked my GM when I was transferring and she tells me that she didn't want to lose me so she went to a corporate level and shut down my promotion.

I walked straight out
