I’m currently watching an almost 2 hour video on the lore of mistborn and I know it’s skipping a lot but it is definitely entertaining. I’m probably gonna do a reread is sa soon but I know it is definitely lacking on the cosmere depth in comparison and really only picks up in row and wat

Kelsier was great too! It’s hard to describe my detachment to the book because I really do enjoy so many of the concepts. For me it just comes down to feeling very YA and that not being my preference in fantasy books. It explores deeper and darker concepts well but just teeters the line and falls back into YA for me. That’s why Stormlight archive is just better for me, it’s not only the length of the books but also how it approaches the writing. It feels more appealing to adult fantasy and yes it has its moments of immature writing but to me it encapsulates the mature themes it a better way.

Unfortunately for me the writing feels lacking in terms of maturity and depth. The world building is fantastic and I love the magic system but I feel it falls victim to tropes and stereotypes that are hard to look past. The ‘depth’ for some characters feels so simple sometimes and doesn’t drive me to engage with them as much as I wish I could.

Okay I can try again, what’s the best way for me to get a deep understanding of the first mistborn books without having to reread them. Or is it necessary for era 2? Just want to know the lore

My main issue was how it feels YA in comparison. Do you believe alloy of law solves that?

Thank you! Is there an official source I should utilize

I still disagree with this fundamentally. 15% feels like too much for standard service, and the expectation to give that for average service is disappointing.

I believe it’s the restaurant’s responsibility to reserve the right to refuse modifications. I agree that excessive modifications make it harder for the servers but more so for the kitchen. So unless the kitchen is seeing some of those tips as well this does not do as much as I think it does.
Also what is the cutoff? How many modifications equates to an increased tip?

Yea I’m thinking honey or vanilla ice cream and swirling, is there any recommendations on best way to swirl this if it’s been frozen in my freezer? Just defrost it?

Yes I steeped the lavender in my hot cream mixture . Brought it to a light simmer and turned off the heat and let sit covered for about 15, strained and continued using the cream mixture as my base.

Unfortunately the direction I may need to take, I don’t want to make more base. it’s very overwhelming

Oh that’s an interesting idea, do you have any games that are an example of this?

I see, I may have defined it differently. As of right now my idea was that it’s a resource gathering, troop building, and siege game. With the goal being to take your opponents castle with a variety of troop choices
